Default HIDs reflector type light pattern

Anyone know what the light pattern is like from a car equipped with HIDs non-projector type? (Compared to the projector type)

Yeah, and to be honest, it isn't nearly what a projector system does for ya. I've got Philips HIDs in my projectors on my Celica and my fiance has a reflector system with her Nissan factory HIDs on her Maxima.

Just imagine a normal reflector headlight and change the color of the light really. It isn't nearly what the high-end systems do.

That sounds pretty bad, why would subaru take such a great system, (projectors), and change it this model year? I'll be disappointed if the STI headlights are what you experienced. We'll just have to wait and see.

but def like new maxima's...not as cool as projectors (s2000, s4, Z) but still nice

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. Any HIDs are amazing lights...but the output pattern won't be nearly what a proper projector would throw out.
