Default 2005 LGT EZ30R Turbo kit

Building a custom turbo kit for my 2005 lgt

Header built out of 1.5” sch10 321ss primaries, and 2” secondaries. Using a Garrett gtx3584rsii. I plan on doing a front mounted turbo, and awic with a rotated custom aluminum intake manifold. I will keep this thread updated with my progress.

It would be cool to make 500whp on the bone stock long block before dropping in a built motor. If I can make 750whp when it’s done, I’ll be happy.

Holy gorgeous manifolds!

I would think 500 on the stock block is doable, but she ain't gonna like it. It would probably survive if driven conservatively and ALL the supporting mods are done. 750 on a built one some be no problem.

Idk if you're interested, but this dude has a turbo ez30 in his LGT.

Yeah I don’t have to high of expectations out of a stock block.
Brandon is the man! He’s actually helping me out with my wiring. Super cool dude!

Your intercooler setup will limit you. You need more crossflow because I know you're not going to be only running 12psi. Give it a go and watch the IATs.

Turbo is hanging in its new home. Talking with turbosmart and haltech about possibly using the new electronic straight gate.

Got the “up-pipe” fit and welded. Left it long so I can cut it to fit. Working on the wastegate

Added a small bend to move the turbo closer to the engine. Much happier with the placement now! Time to finish the last couple welds on the header

Had some time to work on the car this past couple weeks. Header just needs the vband for the wastegate welded (need to machine a heat sink before welding it). Welded the oil return bung in the front cover (welded from the inside). Fuel lines complete up to the firewall. Can’t wait to drop the motor in and keep rolling!

Just need to add a hanger and she’s done. Deciding if I want to recirc the wastegate into the downpipe or just make a straight dump for it.

I need to talk to some professionals in the cooling department. I need to decide what size radiator is needed and if I should do awic or not. Any recommendations?

Making some progress on the intake manifold. Would anyone be interested if I started making these?
