Phil you guys built my pro comp build 2 years ago .my fuel pumps prime on the ignition switch via output on hydra ..for some reason the pumps no longer come on I have tested pumps and wiring my laptop connects to the hydra. I am uncertain what is going on . I am in need of a final tune and I seen in previous post where you said you "travel the country tuning hydras" this would make the process much easier for me as I wouldnt have to trailer the car to jersey. I emailed element tuning a couple of times with no response and called not sure what else to do

Hydra issues??
Hello i have an 04 wrx with the 2.0l turbo and i am trying to install an hydra stand alone out of an 05 sti i have already swaped the wiring harness from the o5 into the 04 and the ecu and i need a new map for a o4 wrx with a front mount ic and an under drive pully setup with a stock up pipe stock injectors and a 3" gready downpipe and exuast i have also installed all dccd sensores and the 6 speed out of the 05 along with all drive train componants. My main concern is the dbw is not installed so will it be possible to get a map for an 04 wrx 2.0l with an 05 sti hydra that had a 2.5l dbw setup ?

Reviving a dead thread here;
Currently running a Hydra 2.7 EMS with a JDM EJ255 rotated GT3076R at 18 PSI (377 whp on a mustang dyno) Car has had this setup since Fall 2013; so around six years and about 30,000 miles. Compression tested at 5 psi within 150 for all cylinders last month. Nothing but great things to say about the longevity of the Hydra EMS and its capabilities sustaining a high hp build for a long term daily driver. Building a V6 EJ207 RSTI and for me its either HKS F-Con or Hydra from now on. |

Since there's not a post here from him about it and it's been well over a year: As some of you may know, Phil Grabow of Element Tuning took ownership of the "Hydra Nemesis EMS" and it is now known simply as "Nemesis EMS" with its website over at http://nemesisems.com/
I'm curious. How many of us are there left running Hydra Nemesis (now "Nemesis EMS") systems? I'm 1. |

I've moved to Haltech, but I ran the Hydra until this spring. It was a great ECU, but since development has stopped it was time to move on to new features.

You could say I'm still running it (2.5r12), but the car is in the US and I'm overseas I ran it from install in 2013 or 2014 (memory is fuzzy) and last I drove it was in late 2016 ... since then it's been parked at my mom's house and she is *supposed* to drive it for about 30 mins per month. I know when she hasn't driven it per the agreement because I usually get a video chat and she has to hook a battery charger up to top up the battery to have enough juice to start it
I bought a Euro-spec E36 M3 out here (eligible for import to the US starting this month!) but every time that dang thing has to go to the shop, I kind of wish I had just shipped the STi out here |

How hard was it to swap over? I am running a similar setup (04 STI swap in my 02 WRX) and have been thinking about going to Haltech.

I wanted it to work, but now it's just a several thousand dollar paperweight on my shelf. I also have a brand new Hydra Mist I never was able to use. |

Haltech wasn't hard. I've installed several over the past 2 years. I also have 2 Hydra 2.7 units of mine on the shelf. They do both work without issue, I just wanted new features and windows 10 support to be honest.

::: Digging up a really old thread :::
I've got a Hydra 2.6 ECU running a built up EJ20 engine in my Porsche 914. The tune that's on it now is...fine. I know there's a LOT more to be had from my engine though. Is there anyone out there that will remote in to my computer and tune it? Debating scrapping the whole thing and going to an FT550, but as a last resort, I thought I'd check here. I'm in NE Ohio if there is anyone out there that knows somewhere local that can work on it. |

I'm located in Columbus, Ohio, and am the owner of #MundyTuned.
It's possible that I could dig up some software to work with the now-defunct Hydra. I would recommend moving to something supported, though. If you want to chat, you can contact me via PM or my website. Thanks! -Bryan Mundy |
