Default Help identifying this electrical box?

I found this unplugged behind my glove box while I was changing my blower motor. It's on a 2004 WRX, it looks like a hazard/turn signal flasher but my signals and hazards work just fine.

OP, are you the car’s original owner?

If not, did it come with aftermarket headlights?

I’m asking because the DLR module can sometimes cause problems with aftermarket headlights. So some people just unplug it.

People sometimes also unplug it to increase headlight bulbs’ lifespans, gain a tiny bit of fuel savings, or just personal taste.
