Hello,
I have been reading forums and watching YouTube videos. This is what I gathered so far. Please let me know if this is correct process for changing rear brakes for the CVT without using a scan tool as there are conflicting and possible extra unnecessary steps on some of the videos. I want to make sure this is the right way to do this.
1. Release electronic parking brake
2. unplug connector for caliper motor
3. Remove plastic caps for caliper pins and remove bolts for caliper, then remove caliper.
4. Use a piston wind back tool and wind back piston as far as you can. It looks like it won't sit completely flush but has enough room for new pads. Removing the motor is not necessary. Using a piston push back tool after winding is also not necessary.
5. Reinstall and engage/disengage parking brake 5 times.
