Default O2 Sensor blew off

Son took the 92x out of town this weekend. He pulled into a gas station & the exhaust tone went full race car. He looked under the car, only to see this.

New cat time? Options please?

Take it to an exhaust shop and see if they can weld a new bung in - if there is anything left to weld to...

Son decided to just buy a new catalytic converter from Rock Auto since the one on the car is the original one.

when you swap that out don't throw it away. Take it to a recycler and you'll get a good chunk of your expense to replace back.

Looks more like the pipe rusted and blew out the bung the O2 sensor screws into. A spacer/anti fouler would almost no perforated sensor section showing, that's the point.
