Default Advice on JDM 1999 WRX STi-V
I'm in Japan and have the opportunity to get an estate (wagon) JDM 1999 WRX STi-V.
I've had a 2006 Forest XT, 2003 Baja, and 2020 Ascent, so big Subaru fan but can you guys lend me your expertise regarding this specific car? I'll include the link:

What are the benefits/weaknesses of this model regarding the drivetrain, reliability? Is it worth the hassle bringing this one back to California? Would it be overly challenging to find replacement parts for the suspension? I'm here in Japan for another 2 years. My plan for this car would be to keep it stock, have a Japanese mechanic rebuild the drivetrain prior to importing in 2 years and to use as a daily driver in San Diego. Thanks!
