I'll bring my camera this afternoon. I had to go up there yesterday just because JJ insisted I look at how close the wheels/tires are to the struts, so I didn't have my camera with me (lots of driving after work yesterday, so he talked to me in the middle of my trip to the college to drop final grades off, then I had to go to Westminster, then I got to go home).

Flares should be done today. I'm hoping I get the car for the NASA-X at VMP tomorrow, but JJ wasn't sure. I will certainly have it for the DC event next weekend though.

No flares yet, ride height's not set, and the car's not going to be ready until later in the week. Next weekend's DC event will be the debut.

What flares are you going to be using?

As far as brakes, I like the DBA rotors and hawk HP + pads for AX and DD. I drove an 05 WRX last weekend with stock brakes. It was a big difference. At times it didn't feel like the car would slow down at all, especially compard to my setup. I think upgrading to larger brakes isn't needed (especially the 06/07 brakes). A proper pad/rotor setup can brake just as well as larger brakes without locking up the wheels and at a lower rotating mass.

Terry and Brian at Vorshlag wanted someone to work with the 5200s on a GD chassis car. Otherwise, yeah, I probably would have gone with the 4200 series.

The mounting point for the driver side front might end up being moved once the strut bar goes on.

All the work is being done at IAG Performance, and they actually have some STI flares in CGM in stock, so that's likely what is going on the car. JJ's kind of a stickler about cosmetics, which means that he ultimately will probably want me to put an STI bumper on the rear to "complete" the flare.

I'm probably going to stick with the stock brakes for now. I've been running Ferodo pads since after the Wendover ProSolo last year, and I ran them on Justin Rest's car in '07. They are very nice, and wear pretty well with minimal dusting (less than Hawks).

I'd guess the 5200's are a little lighter (aluminum bodies), also inverted- some small advantages there

Anything that is DOT legal is okay in stock, street prepared and street modified.

So, V710s are legal, as are Hoosier A6s and R6s (I've got A6s mounted up).

Full race slicks are not legal except in prepared and modified classes.

Can you legally move the mounting point in ESP?
