I thought they'd be on my porch when I got home from DC last night....but they aren't here yet. Probably sometime this week. Then my codriver and I will have to order tires ($$$).

We'll have to have them before the toledo pro....early enough to figure out the proper setup with them.

Jay,

I wish I knew you were there this weekend, I would've tried finding you. Would've liked to ask you a few things. Still trying to get the car setup in DSP and did ok this weekend given the current setup (red RS #99), but it still needs a lot more work.

I saw you (and your other half) but was always getting caught up in finding water, shade or food. You have enough tire under the car.....they may be a bit tall though. I managed to catch a few of your runs, which didn't look all that bad. Mike and Alex are just freakin screaming now.....unreal how quick they've gotten in the last couple years.

I was pretty impressed with Nate's "hype-R" as well. Looks like the 275's are a sure bet. Now if only Hankook would make that size!

Jay, will you be at the Finger Lakes ProSolo? I'm curious to see your car and those wheels.

And what's with the 2.5RS in FSP (Ed George) at the DC ProSolo and also signed up for the Finger Lakes one?

I hear ya, part of the reason I didn't even see any of the FSP cars running was cause I was searching for water and shade after running and also waiting to get released from impound. Those guys are definitely sick fast, but I still have some things that can be done, and will have a chance to test it against them as they're in my local region. I've been procrastinating in getting the measurements I need for the 15's to run 275/35-15's (wanna make sure I'll clear the lower spring perches on my c/o's) as I'm currently rubbing even though I'm running nearly 0 degrees of camber in the rear. I have some EM to do in order to increase the rev limit and tune for something better than 87 octane, and still have a bunch of weight reduction stuff I can do. Hopefully it will make up at least some of the difference needed, the rest will be self improvement, but I just hope it will be enough and get done before September rolls around.

Also, Nate is not one to be counted out either. He had a slight disadvantage in comparo to the BMW's this weekend in torque needed to get up the hill (really noticeable in the side by side launches), but he's been kicking ass up at Devens and still has a few things he can do to prep the car as well.

I had my own issues in getting a good launch and 60ft. as the green civic always seemed to be kicking my ass to the first corner, oh yeah and the first heat when I lined up next to Franson... I don't really wanna talk about it (it was my first Pro event and also my first time lining up at a light tree)

I thought maybe he didn't update his car profile on the registration form. It was actually an RS and not a rebadged L or something?

he he he..... yeah, my codriver never updated his profile for registration. If I was still 2.5sec back from Jinx in our RS....I'd take up knitting or something.

As it stands, I haven't signed up for the Finger Lakes event yet. My codriver already has, so I just need to pay some bills and get registered.

I must get the new motor finished quickly......time is running out!

d00d, you had a great improvement on Sunday. Don't worry about the cibic beating you to the first turn. When I was running my Civic in ST, I'd do that to Corey at Pro's. You probably have less WHP then that little civic did.... Hell, I think my Civic could have outrun the R to the first turn!

I can't really blame the courses or the car for me being slow though. Eric did really well and he still has just a GSR motor in his car. I'm really not driving this thing well I think. I know I was overdriving on Saturday afternoon, improving to just driving slow on Sunday morning.

Good seeing everyone. Sorry to not have met or said hi to all those I missed. I was busy melting my brain with heat exhaustion on Friday and Saturday.

Just got back home from a Midiv Solo at HPT. Car was great all weekend and can't wait for nats.
I won DSP by 1.7sec over the car to have in the Class(BimmerHaus 3 series). Could't get away from the low 46's on Sunday. Run1)46.245 2) 46.215 + 1 3) 46.244 4) 46.250 + 2
BTW, 9th in Pax, WOOOHOOO!!!
Here are the results, we ran the west course from Nats last year. Right way on Saturday and wrong way on Sunday.
http://www.myautoevents.com:80/pls/m...sEVENT_ID=8508
I'll have some pics of the car has new stickers and some incar as soon as I get it from the gotcone.com guys.

Also News:
Chirsty Carlson from Lincoln, NE who normally drives a ASL STI is driving my car now and will be at Nats. First time in the car this weekend and ran faster then the fastest DSPL on the west course from 2007.

Pretty good. Not sure if the hot surface temps helped compared to nats last year but it was good right off the bat. Best time on west course last year was by Ken Motonishi at a 46.960 with Sheilds at a 47.5 and Shchipkov at a 47.6
I ended up with a 47.3. The course was getting it's dirty areas like normal if you got off line. My tires are just about done but I have another set ready for Nats.

Thanks.

So a 47.3 on less-than-fresh 275 Hoosiers!!! Next month is going to be interesting indeed...

Here's a couple pics of the new wheels on the Brighton. I can still come back down 1/2 to 3/4" and we haven't cut anything yet.....They don't stick out any more than the little 13's did. That's a relief since the car was getting wide enough already!

Thanks Chike. It's pretty balanced right now....and the tires are old. I just wanted to get rubber on them to see where we needed to go with the suspension and alignment. I almost forgot what it was like to just pour the car into corners without needing to brake! Also, dam that Hoosier crack! I've been off the pipe for 4-5yrs......one event on 'em and I'm hooked again!

They definately show the lack of power in this motor (compared to the DSP EJ25). Thank god the new one is closer to being ready! I'm going to need another 20hp and 20ft/lbs to make up for the extra rotational mass!

Jay,

Will the new motor be in the car and broken in by the Pro Fianle & Nats? About 1 more month to go...

There's a real good picture of me in Topeka working on injector wiring at 3AM under the light of Comfort Inn's parking lot so I could make tech inspection with the fabricated intake manifold on the DSP car. The motor will be done and in hopefully by next weekend. I daily drive it, so break-in shouldn't be a problem!!! It won't be pretty....but it'll be functional!
