I just want to have fun. Im aware that this pushes me into a category where theres a lot of much bigger fish. But I love the way the car is now and feel like after 2 years its ready.

can I just google panda 240sx to get an idea?
You can.

Here's a pic of mine in front of an SM GTR as well. I have various pics in the SM thread here as well.

This is what I was afraid of.
I think on a good day my car has like 245 WHP and is nimble, but easily outclassed by some one with a dedicated vehicle.

Here's a pic of mine

Just a bug

Your help please
Is there a way to search within all these pages for key words?

Questions on :
1. Battery- it says can relocate to trunk. But what about light weight battery?
2. what about light weigh bumpers?
3. Seat, they say must weigh at least 15lbs for STS class. So What about above STS?
Can you remove rear wiper?
rear wing spacers?
tail light overlays?
turbo blanket?

Thank You for your help

I would suggest reading the rule book here: https://www.scca.com/downloads/20864...duced/download

That will tell you what is allowed and what class your car would go into. Your questions cover a few different classes and are worded poorly in general so I have no clue what you're actually after.

While the current book is gospel, this.....https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...htmlview#gid=0 covers the basics.
Do NOT say, "well this spreadsheet says it's OK....." since the referenced rule book is the final word.
I will say, in a novice class and you're slow, most won't care. Start winning, others will point out issues.
Try to run within your class, learn to read the rule book. It's tedious at times, but changes little over the years.

Post Master Cylinder Brace DS Legal?

Hey all,

I didn't see this specifically stated anywhere in this thread. Is a Master Cylinder brace legal for DS? Word is the 2015+ has a major issue with firewall flex under hard braking???

No, they're not legal. If the rule book doesn't say you can, you can't. The brace isn't legal until SM IIRC.

I know you're joking, but yes, they'll know if they look at your engine bay. It's not as big of a deal as everyone says so I'd skip it.

Just read the new fast track rule proposal. They're proposing the MC brace in ST classes and it's legal in SP. So if you want to mod, at least it's not a high class.

Only if you put speakers on them.

Also, no, splitters aren't allowed until SP, and then they can't protrude beyond the front bumper in any way. Bigger splitters are allowed in SM. You can go up to 6" forward of the front bumper there.

thanks. I'm STS (normal impreza went from stf to sts).
I was finely able to find this https://dk1xgl0d43mu1.cloudfront.net...pdf?1485463261

some times trying to go throw 400+ pages I can forget what classes can do what.

I'd recommend the HPS over the HP+
It's more street oriented and you don't really need all that much for brakes in Autox.
I'm betting Stoptech Sport pads would be fine as well for less cost. I just hate how much dust they make.

I have HPS on the front of both my cars (WRX with stock calipers and SER Spec-V with factory Brembos) and haven't once had issues with fade or anything. Including hot lapping the SE-R and the front rotors starting to blue but the pads still felt good with no noticeable fade.

Thanks I have stop tech streets pads, and looking for replacements. people say hawk but like I said just not in the budget, and don't want to be cheap just on fixed income right now. most of my driving is highway, with a few slam stops from douche that want to cut 4 lanes of traffic off because there exit is right there and want to make it instead of going a few extra exits. autocross will be ones a month to every other month.
