Sumb Basic UTEC Stage4 Map question
Hi everyone,
I have an 03 Catless Stage 4 setup (stock TMIC). I noticed when I switch maps from the TXS stage4 FMIC to TMIC I notice the TMIC map is a lot more responsive when gassing from a standstill. Out of curiosity what causes this? I assume a number of things, but it makes the car feel unresponsive in stop-n-go traffic. Basically letting the clutch pedal up and gassing from a standstill seems to engage a lot better dependent on the map. Basically it was bogging down low with the FMIC map (which I was running forever....I was told to use FMIC as a basemap previously). Sounds like I need a dyno tune! Just wondering if other guys have experienced this and what are the best ways to solve it. Cheers, Brian

I never tried the FMIC as a base map... and the version of each you have may cause a greater noticed difference... I think the main difference though should be at the top where the FMIC is a little leaner and runs a little more timing (ie more power).
I ran the TMIC base map for a short time then tuned it.. so bascially I say tune your map or pay someone to do it.. theres a lot more power and smoother throttle response waiting to be had with proper tuning |

i beleive the FMIC uses less timing down low as opposed to the TMIC
