Post Range Day for Impreza folks

There has been some mention in a few threads and some discussion in person about getting together for some shooting. I would like to see who is interested. I live near a great gunshop/ range (Clark Brothers) that is about 20 min. West of Manassas. They allow everything from muzzle loaders to AR15s on the range. The range is free and you must buy targets and ammo from them. Their ammo is about average with Walmart in price. How about next Sat. for a suggestion?

Supposed to go to Arrietas then - course anything is possible.

Can you shoot shotguns there?

I meant the Sat. after this weekend. I just don't see Carlos letting us fire rounds off next to that beautiful Saab Sonnet rally car.

I'm interested, but the next coupla months are gonna be kind of ugly since I'm moving to Pennsylvania.. Gotta check on the date you mentioned.. Be nice to give my CAR-15 a workout..

So I can't bring my own ammo? I'll gladly buy targets, but I buy my ammo by the case to avoid WalMart type prices..

Cars & guns, cool.

No shooting up my Saab Sonett! Spelled with 1 N & 2 Ts. I have enough work to do on it as it is.
BTW, I'm building it for hillclimb, not rally. Maybe eventually a smooth ClubRally but I will rule MU2 in rallyX.
I'd be up for some shooting. I just sold my AK47 (to finance my rally habit)but still have a skeet shotgun. Yes, they do (did, its been years since I've been there)have a trap range for shotguns.

Rifle range is 100 yards. That is unless a poor unsuspecting bird lands on a tree limb beyond that and you have that range and aim (unlike me who uses 55 round clips to get what I'd aiming at eventually).

My 18.5 in barrel really isn't a plus for trap. Don't know if they let a scatter gun go on the target line.

Course, I could shoot slugs. I shot some 12 ga. sabots once. WOW!

slugs with a 12 guage are pretty accurate at 50 yards, but beyond that I'm not to sure.

I'm down for some skeet shooting if someone wants to lend me a shotgun.

I would except it is within 5 miles of my house! It is very easy to find. Just take 29 off of 66 and go toward Warrenton. You will pass Warrenton and about 10 min. later you will see Clark Brothers on your right. It is at a crossroads called Opal.

I am going to post a proposed time in the next day or two. I will be bringing my AR-15 and my kid will probably bring his .22

In a Car and Driver letter to the editor years ago, there were some guys who were from the Society of Torque and Recoil, whose motto was if it produces torque or recoil, it is cool. The more the better.
