Now if they kept it awd then not so bad but yea. Would be interesting what an H8 would sound like and what power would be.

LS engines are good. The Subaru chassis is also relatively light. It's not actually a bad idea if you simply want a hp rwd car.

If it was in Cuba it would likely have a lawnmower swap and It would have just as little importance to my driveway.

The new Chevy engine is no joke. Direct injection 6.2 Liter, 400+hp/tq on 87 octane. And that's in a base pickup truck / optional engine. Basically the de-tuned vette engine. That engine is going to be everywhere in their lineup and putting out insane levels of power.
Meanwhile the Subaru STi is going to debut an anemic 2.0 liter direct injected boxer motor that might see 300hp. I'm going to have to sink 10k into my new STi to keep up with my lawnmower guy when he sees me on the street in his base model pickup truck running 87 octane and getting 22mpg. http://gmauthority.com/blog/gm/gm-engines/l86/ http://www.chevrolet.com/silverado-1...kup-truck.html |

Why would you be "pist" at what someone else does to their car?

I'm almost more disgusted at myself for opening this thread than the existence of the thread.

if someone told me i could easily put a new v8 into my car i would say DO IT! Why not great power, and reliable? I already get horrible gas mileage on the highway so it would be the same fuel consumption. Too bad i am sure its a ton of custom fab work and the cost would prob be the same as buying a new car with a v8 in it already.

I have an EJ255 that eats turbos like a fat kid with cake, and has constant DBW throttle problems. I also have a 350 in my garage, collecting dust. Seriously thinking about putting the 350 in there to replace the abomination that is the EJ255. |

Subaru never went to a V12. When they sold the team back to Coloni, they changed engines and redesigned the chassis. It was still too slow to ever make a starting grid. |

LS is an awesome engine, but you'd have to fight a higher center of weight, and, even if you could keep it awd, you'd need some BEEFY axles and differentials to support the on/of torque. Regardless I'd love to see it in action even if it was a failure!

This thread is worse than the endless streams of yellow brown napalm liquid that has been spewing out my backside for the last two days.
