Unhappy silly question about powder coating

Do you have to take off the tires before sending it for powder coating? I know it sounds silly....

1200 degrees? I don't think so. At that temperature you'd be awfully close to having a pool of molten aluminum on the floor of the oven instead of wheels. Try 350-450. Even if it wasn't too hot, you'd want to take the wheels off to prep them properly and get a good finish.

There was a thread discussing this earlier, I think the quote was a Canadian company and it was $250 for 4. But really that's um, only like $165 usd.
