Operating temp of STI rear diff?
I just did a 6spd conversion on my WRX with an STI tranny with DCCD. I'm wanting to know what the operating temperature is of the rear diff, so I know what temp range of gauge to buy. On the STI all the gauge cluster says is "hot" when it gets hot, it doesn't have a degree measurement. If anybody had any suggestions on which gauge to buy (tranny temp, oil temp, etc) and what temp is "hot" that would also help.
Thanks

Thanks for the info, but I figured it out. Here it is in case anybody else needs it. Normal operating temp is 150-200'F. "Hot" is considered 250'F.

Sorry to bump a ridiculously old thread. But I've been looking into this and figured I would share info for others landing on this thread.
Here's what the 2004 Factory Service manual says: Quote:
