![]() I chose base with the keyless / Nav / Harmon Kardon package back in 2016. Reason is I don't like sunroofs because I never use them and a big chunk of weight at the top of the car.
That said my daily driver is a WRX Limited and has a sunroof I never use.

![]() I went with the Base trim on my 2020 because that's what they had at the dealership. Like others have said, you don't get anything worth an extra $4k in the Limited trim. I could understand it if they had special forged BBS wheels or some other performance upgrades. But crappy Nav, mediocre "Recaros" and a sunroof? No way.

![]() Make sure you actually sit in the "Recaros" before spending money. I was lucky; the dealership I bought my 2020 STI had two: One with Recaros, one without. The Recaros are not good. They're not tighter. To me, the whole idea of "Recaros" is "be noticeably tighter"; they aren't.
Ended up just getting the base, and doing a wing swap myself; that was my biggest desire, but yeah, totally not worth it. *IF* the Recaros were legit like hard core "Evo X" type Recaros, I would have bought the car with Recaros. Failing that, it's just not worth it. As for the 'power seats' and 'navigation', I can't imagine two more useless things in a car, personally. The navigation would never be used (CarPlay/Android Auto), and power seats? Who cares? You set it once and move on. Unless you had two drivers of the car, constantly swapping out, and it had memory (does it?), then it *might* make sense. |

Same with power side view mirrors. I don't think I've moved mine since the first week I owned the car. Totally useless feature for 95% of owners. |

Yes I was an existing Subaru owner at the time, I believe I called them at the beginning of 2019 for the coupon. Sorry I saw your post stating you were not a current owner, after I already posted. |

I use mine pretty much every time I drive as I back in to parking spots and figure its worth taking the extra 1 second to adjust the mirrors to make sure I don't curb my wheels. Its far from a useless feature to pretty much anyone that wants to take care of their cars. |

Personally I can see where the curb is anyway but my skills are probably higher. And I'm never in a city anyhow making it utterly useless for people like me who aren't in a city, thus not parking against curbs regularly. |

![]() Power seats are silly to me, weight add for no reason.
Power mirrors are important to me though as the wife drives it too. |

![]() Wait are power side view mirrors not a thing on all cars now? I can't remember being in a car that didn't have them for a long time.

![]() Seats are useless and too heavy. Just bolt a milk crate to the floor and be on your way to the track....
Seriously how much does a power seat vs a regular seat weight? On my 3rd STi I went with a limited because it was a great deal and I actually like the fake Recaros and moonroof for some extra Vitamin D. I don't really need anything the limited has and would probably have ordered a base with Recaros and no options if I didn't come across my 2020 on the lot. |

![]() 2018 STi Limited here. My buddy has a 2018 base, and I have to say unless you're into changing out the stereo, the HK system is so much better than the base stereo.
I am also one who loves a moonroof, so that and the stereo made it worth it to me to get the limited. The nav is pretty bad and they want you to pay for the upgrade chip after the your 3 year warranty is up. Kind of unfortunate that I didn't wait one more year and get the apple car play, but it is what it is. ...and I had to wait the better part of 3 months. Ordered mid December; didn't pick her up until End of March. Enjoy your new ride! |

![]() I like having navigation in my car. Connecting a phone is an annoying extra step.
I like having extra glass over my head. It's dark enough in the Pacific Northwest as it is. Who cares about a little extra weight? I guarantee there is maybe one or two people in here who could even notice/take advantage of the difference. Don't forget these are street cars. Power seats are fantastic as well especially when on longer drives. Then again I sure do miss leaning over to crank a window down, having to get out to adjust my mirror, curbing my wheels trying to park on narrow streets, fumbling around wearing out a key in a slot, wiggling and shaking and yanking levers to adjust my seat, finding my way around with paper maps, wearing out my hand brake shoes starting on steep hills, manually flipping my rear view mirror to block high beams, adjusting carburetors, using leaded gas, feeding and shoeing my horse, adding whale oil to my lanterns, changing out axles on my carriage. ![]() |

![]() A moonroof is the only thing I wish I had, love them. Don't give a crap about the extra 8 pounds.
Power seats in my STI. . . .for all I know they don't even work anymore. I don't think I've moved the seat in years. In my Z06, totally different story. That car is seriously almost impossible to get in or out when in driving position. . . . and they knew it because it has a kick ass feature that retracts the seat and moves the wheel in and up when you shut off the car. You can actually set every power feature to move wherever you want on shut down but obviously just getting everything out of the way is best. I also use the dual memory positions in that because boots in winter compared to light summer shoes make a real difference in driving position, so I have a setting for each. Times are tough |

![]() My WRX is very spartan these days. I do not have a radio, no air conditioning, no back seats, no power seats, no sound insulation, have to unlock it with a key, no ABS, stiff springs and shocks, loud exhaust, etc. It's a blast to drive on the weekends but the couple times I've had to commute in it I quickly miss all of the comfort/convenience features I have in my Focus.

![]() OP here...
Put a deposit on a CWP Base STi yesterday. MSRP is ~$39k. Current negotiated buy price is $34.5k. Aiming for $34k. Anyone know of any incentives, vouchers, or coupons out there I can leverage to offset the cost? Thanks! |

![]() I totally agree with this. I have owned my STi for 17y8m now. My wife has yet to even sit in the driver's seat, let alone drive it
![]() I cannot recall the last time I re-adjusted my seat. Even after oil changes and tire rotations, I cannot recall the seat being moved. Regards, Saif. |

![]() That's great! My 20 STI MGM was base model with the Recaro option and few other things which stickered at $41k and some change. I was out the door with some extras with clearbra and a lip with sideskirts for that after some negotiating and .09% Subaru financing.
