With how aggressive Genesis is marketing and building and how conservative Jag currently is, I agree with this article. Easy way for Genesis to take a bigger piece of the market share.

I think Hyundai screwed themselves over by using the name of a revamped tiburon as the name for their premium brand (the old genesis coupe).
Sorry but not sorry that I cannot disconnect Genesis from Hyundai. I highly doubt they're going to instantly convince people buying problematic premium british brands to all of the sudden up and buy a Korean brand that's trying to upscale itself. |

I'm moving towards disconnecting Genesis from Hyundai in that they don't share their platforms with Hyundai models but they still need to sort out their dealerships. But I'm probably more disconnected with them than I am with Nissan/Infiniti and Honda/Acura.

Shouldn't be too hard if it was based on reliability alone. At least in regards to the lower-tier models in JLR's lineup.
