I heard from others that you have to remove the front bumper in order to install. I actually have my CAI but have not installed it yet because I'm kind of weary of installs. So if you could post pictures I would be happy.

Also if you are installing your CAI, don't forget to put a weather guard on your filter. It'll keep the water out of your filter. I bought the weather guard for $20.

There is a guy on my saab forum who installed the CAI but while treading through water during a storm ran into some problems. WATER in ENGINE = MAJOR PROBLEM.

no you dont have to remove the bumper just take off the fender liner in the wheel well

weather guard is ok idea or just not drive in a freakin rain storm

and as you said he was treading through water, driving through puddles or any deep water is just stupid with or without a cai

For 06' I heard you need to remove or cut some of the plastic inserts inside the fender and modify the bracket.

always the choice of pulling over and try to wait it out

ya know cause its safer than tryin to drive and not be able to see where your going, since no one else can see either if you think about it

Its not that big of a deal, water will only be a problem if the intake is almost completely submerged and you're almost at wot.
