Thumbs down Worst idea evAR!!!

First of all, this is a most ridiculous idea. The STi is all about a blend of aggressive looks with performance to match. I am not a purist, just a realist. Obviously the STi is not the car for you. Besides, it won't be stealth no matter what you do to the car; as stated by others; because most people won't know the difference between the RS and the STi. Also, do you plan on quieting down the exhaust? From the videos I've seen, the exhaust sound only will draw attention. Just do yourself a favor and either wait for the turbo legacy or buy an L and do an Sti swap (ultimate stealth).

I agree. It would be great if Subaru would make an adult version of the STi exactly like your photo. To actually modify the current STi would not make any economic sense.

I guess I will have to wait for the STi Wagon.

Good job on the photoshop but...

Guess what, it's not a sports sedan, it's a rally car. Want a sports sedan, by something else. There are plenty of nice sports sedans out there.

Part of the pleasure of owning one of these cars is that it is a rather exclusive club. I sort of understand your thinking, but if you want to make that many changes to the car, you really don't want this car, it sounds like to me.

Just my opinion, if you buy it, it's yours, and you're free to do what you want with it!

I'd say you're more wrong than right. While it's AWD, and somewhat rally inspired it's hardly a rally car.

Rally Car = Used in the WRC and most often off road on dirt, mud, snow, gravel at speeds over 100mph

STi = Sports Sedan

Can't wait to see you rally your stock STi!!!

Sure it shares a lot of the elements of the rally car, but it's definitely biased towards street and track performance.

yeah there is no such thing as stealth.

people think my RS is a WRX unless i tell them otherwise, they'll think the STI is a WRX, or the new WRX is an STI. they won't know the difference anyway.

sleeper maybe-

get a 2002 WRX and tune it to 500hp without even lowering it, then you've got a car that will spank people who don't even know its a sports car.

Adult version?

I think the scoop looks stupidly big and I don't dig the wing, but I wouldn't call this $30K+ a 'kids' car by anymeans.

Maybe you need a BMW or Audi.

Stealth? Don't be an idiot. Anyone you are trying to "stealth" from will know enough about vehicles to identify what it is. Go buy a Honda CRX if you wanna do this kind of garbage. That way you can "stealth" all day long and no one will give a crap.

were you drunk when you wrote this?

LOL liigod I was thinking the same thing yet it took several posts for anyone to even mention it. As for the topic, I think the STi is a great all around car that some poeple may want to drive without the parkbench you cannot buy it without. Im hoping to make a couple hundred bucks in a trade for my wing/lid with a java pearl wrx.

orange lenses...very very gone

Now, this is a car I could own.

P.S.
Please don't start talking about the loss of performance for doing this or the how similar some of are to "Honda-boys" for caring so much about the car's look. There are other threads for that. Just comment about the look. Keep it freindly.

Thank you.
nice, as is this photochop

I dont' think the impreza can any longer be stealth.

Stealth = transplanting STi components (engine, tranny, suspension, etc.) into an OBS.

Otherwise, people will suspect.

You realize that if that car was on the street, and someone that knew enough about vehicles saw it they would think it's an rs right?

If it was a "rally car" as you said, the suspension would not have as much rebound as it does, and i would be able to drive in the rain with my 070's, which by the way, i cannot because they are the suckiest wet tires known to man.

Its a sports sedan, don't let all the hype get to you.

Do you not understand what "stealth" means? Looking similar to a RS is very much the point. You think a RS could keep up with a STi drivetrain? I think not.

The other thing to get rid of is the blue interior. Aftermarket leather covers?
