Screw that. Practice with the bar if you think your form is off. Don't put weight on the bar til you got it down.

Like practice with that, and see how my form is? After I do my practice, and warm ups go to my working weight?

I actually have a bar in my living room right now, and I am using it. The form seems fine with just a bar. I think the only thing that got me worried was watching mark ripplefro videos. I am def going low enough and my back is in the right position, I just never thought about pushing my ass out

I had a trainer at the gym work with me to correct my squat form and it has helped.

He told me to do pilates style exercises, calisthenics, and bosu ball exercises to even my leg strength and correct my form. This is because whenever I squat I leaned to the right, because my right leg was stronger.

Next time you see him, you punch him in the face for me. And stay away from bosu balls.

I lean to the left. Then again...my left leg and foot are smaller than my right. Guess I need to start putting a shim under my left shoe or something. Need to figure something out soon so I can actually add some weight to my squat.

I am currently in a transitional phase, trying to figure where I am going to workout and how I am going to help my girlfriend with her goals in the gym at the same time, since we wont be going to the same gym most likely.
I hit the gym with Pops the other day to check out where he does his magic. Its a nice gym, but there is a decent one (better than what I had overseas) I can use at work for free.
Been home for about 3 weeks now, but haven't gone back to work yet. Been busy working on remodeling my house, buying furniture, guns and a boat. You know the important stuff.
When I am back to work, although its goberment, so who knows if I still have a job next week, I will decide on a gym and get 5-3-1 started up.

Until then I am just trying to keep up with the thread, its moving fast now. Miss a day and it takes half an hour to catch up!

That was te longest excuse in the history of this thread.

It does move fast now but it's all chit chat, creatine debates, and drama. It's a good thing we don't all work out at the same gym, nothing would get done.

What do you mean bro? We would total have a sick line of bicep curls going. Gotta make the guns look sexy, you know the girls go for the gorilla's with chicken legs.

I'm racing Sunday, I'm freaking pumped up. I really do hate having to layoff lifting for two weeks while I'm tapering before a race. The nice thing is though I usually see good gains the first cycle back.

Wait...I found a use for bosu balls....well the half ones with the platform on them.

we use em for the leg press machine.

load up the leg press with about 90lbs less than normal.
put the bosu ball, ball part on the platform
put your feet on the platform
press....and watch you legs get all shaky.

seriously, it allows for a lot more freedom in your legs, and I don't round my back out when taking the weight all the way down.

Or I could just do deadlifts.

Neek, you just reminded me of something.

My buddy watched Blake Griffin's workout - and part of it is he runs up these huge-ass sand dunes in California, carry sandbags or pulling a trainer. Anyway, the dune is like 6 stories...maybe more.
It's a big ass dune.

So my buddy now wants to run hills and get buff like Blake Griffin and dunk alot (he's 5-10 and 31yrs old)...and lives in Coral Springs (for those of you reading that aren't named Neek, Coral Springs is basically in the Everglades, west of Boca Raton - not really known for their hills)

Apparently in Springs there's a 'hill' (What the natives call it) that's just waste-dirt that grew grass on it. It's 20ft, tops, and a gentle, gentle grade.

He calls me up and asks me to run hills with him. I go there, look at the hill, and just start laughing.

The gym's treadmills get steeper than this thing. And he thinks he's going to get Blake Griffin's jumping ability by carrying a 45lb weight up this mound.
