Default TGV housing from short runner NA manifold

I was wondering if the bottom portions of the short runner 2.5i NA manifold would work as budget tgv deletes for a 06 wrx.

This is the part Im talking about. My car is currently in the shop getting the engine replaced and they told me itd be a good time to delete the TGVs and air pump. My plan was to see if the factory wrx manifold will fit on top of the non-tgv parts that come with the short runner manifold. Anyone have experience with this or has it been done before?

Unfortunately it will not work. The bolt pattern from the Manifold to the TGV's are off just a tad bit.

You think opening up the bolt holes like some have done for long runner version would work?
