Default AP2 error: not installed on vehicle

I just bought a Cobb ap2 and installed it on my 06 sti. Went through the process correctly and successfully loaded a stage 2 map. Now the problem is when I go to try to run a realtime map (go to tuning->change map) it gives me an error that says the accessport is not installed on the vehicle. It allows me to log and everything else, it just won't let me load a realtime map. Any ideas what the problem could be?

I was going to attempt to uninstall and reinstall the AP on my car to see if that solved the problem, but it still says the ap is not installed on my vehicle so it will not let me uninstall...or flash to a different map. Ideas?

I emailed them. If I don't get a response soon I'll just call. But me being able to log my car and adjust the idle and all those other features with the AP means it is married to my car correct?
