Question Stage 2 open source/resistor mod help

Have been running an open source stage 2 map (catless up pipe, downpipe, and a free flowing cat back) or with no issues peaking around the 17psi mark for a couple months now. Recently had to take the egt sensor out (p0546) and do the resistor mod until cash is in hand for a new sensor. Also did the ecu reset as found here to relearn current values... Had to reset a couple of times to get "better" response boost wise, but is still not performing to par.
Is there a way to tune around the constant egt reading, or is this something to live with until the sensor is replaced?

Just disable it in the map. Literally takes seconds. It's in the "emissions" folder.

EGT isn't used in the tuning. Don't need the sensor and removing it won't change anything about how your car runs. The only function it serves is as a "go / no-go" gauge on the engine. As you probably noticed when you had the CEL, "no-go" really means no go. If it's in 'go" mode you're all good and there's no need to "tune around it" of ever replace the sensor.

Can you monitor the actual EGT temps with this sensor while using a logger? If so it would be really handy to use the already exsisting sensor/harness/ live data readouts etc.... Ive got a STi so im not sure what the purpose is to have it (on the WRX)and not be able to monitor it........im so confused lol

The sensor used is very shielded (slow to respond) and far from the heads. Little meaningful info could be obtained from logging it, but there is a checkbox for it in the logger.
