Default How much was your 2012 Impreza?

I saw a similar thread to this for 2011 WRX's, but my fiance and I are looking to get a 2012 Impreza here shortly. Love the looks, new and improved mpg, etc. I figured a thread like this could help me out, but also everyone else out there as well who are looking at the new 2012's!

We went to a dealer today and test-drove the following:

2012 Impreza 2.0i Premium

- Auto CVT

- Satin White Pearl
Cloth interior (dealer was going to have the interior re-upholstered in katzkin leather)

- Moonroof

- All-weather package (guards, heated seats, heated mirror, etc)

- 17" alloy wheels

Price was $22,950 + TTL

Seem like a fair deal?

What kinds of deals have you all been getting for yours, whether it's the base, premium, limited, sport?

That would be about right if it also had nav, otherwise a bit dear.

I paid 23,334 for a sport 5 speed premium with about 1500 In accessories and the extended warranty.

I got a Premium Hatchback w/CVT PZEV w/
-Moonroof/All Weather Package/17" Alloy Wheel Package ($2,000 package)
-Remote starter
-Fog lights (ended up with Chrome ones, Subaru mistake, I lucked out)
-Splash guards
-Cargo tray
-Rear seat cargo net
-Rear bumper appliqué
-All weather mats
-Wheel locks

Paid $23,700 + taxes & registration
I feel like this is high compared to what I've seen but I'm okay with that. I had a "Select" membership at my dealership which qualified me for 1.9% above invoice.

I also picked a 1 year/12,000 mile extended warranty as my pre-order gift & the dealership gave me the 2 year maintenance package for free practically. So I walked away happy with what I got & my salesman is an old friend. So if I paid a few hundred more than some at least he got a commission out of it.

Sport Premium 5-door, CVT, PZEV, all-weather mats, rear cargo tray, auto-dim mirror w/compass, center console tray, and side "aero" trim pieces (not my choice, already installed). $21,850 in the Philadelphia area (w/o tax and stuff). Sticker price was $22,900. Not terribly cheap, but dealers around here don't seem to be discounting them much. This price was comparable to two other quotes I got in the area for similar cars. In addition to the price paid, I got an additional $1,000 off: $500 off for previous Subaru customer cash leftover from when I bought my 09 Outback, plus an additional $500 from Subaru as for a customer loyalty bonus for buying the Impreza.

Taking advantage of Subaru's Guaranteed Trade Program value of $18,700 for my 09 Outback, my total out-of-pocket was around $2,500 (inclusive of tax, tags, etc.). I couldn't pass that up.

As an aside, regarding the rear cargo tray, it's interesting that Subaru's printed Impreza brochure shows that as being standard on the Sport Premium, but it appears that it is, in fact, an option.

I haven't worked out the exact numbers yet (vehicle in transit) but the tentative deal is $20,750 +TTL for an OBP/DGM Sport Premium 5-speed with the following options:

All Weather Floor Mats
Crossbar Set - Aero
Front License Plate Bracket
Front Underspoiler
Luggage Compartment Cover
Rear Cargo Tray
Rear Seat Back Protector
Splash Guards (Aero)
Strake Kit
Wheel Locks

I asked this in the roll call thread, but got no answer. Dealer says it's strange the brochure says this, but that they were printed well before the options were finalized. What about the Luggage Compartment Cover? Is this supposed to be included with the Sport Premium (or really any 5 door other than the base) as the website shows?

RE: cargo area cover. I wondered about that, too. On my Sport Premium it came stock, and was not listed separately on the options area. But, if you go to Subaru's online car builder it comes up as an option. My guess is they got the cargo area cover mixed up with the cargo area tray. The cover is included, the tray is an option.

If you view the online brochure for the new Impreza, which is basically a more in-depth version of the printed brochure, that does not list the cargo tray as being included (it was deleted from the page that it was shown on in the printed brochure). The tray is a lot cheaper than the cover, so if they had to mix it up, I'm glad they did it in favor of the cover.

The biggest thing I miss from my 09 Outback is the storage cubbies in the rear cargo area and underneath where the spare tire is. No place to keep the straps, etc., that I always like to carry around. I'll probably end up getting the side cargo nets so at least I have some places to stash stuff.

As an aside, I also reused the wheel locks (Subaru OEM) that I had on my Outback. They work fine, although as others have posted they stick out a bit further than the regular nuts.

Got some awesome news today. My fiance is a lawyer for an international firm, and apparently they have deals set up with several auto manufacturers where we get to pay dealer invoice for new cars . . . and Subaru is one of them! I'm a lawyer at a small company and don't get any sweet perks like that.

Unfortunately, my fiance doesn't want to learn to drive stick, so we're not getting an sti. But it's great news on the Impreza front.

Anyways, dealer stock here in the San Diego area is really low. Most dealers have 2-3 hatches at the most, and only one has the SWP color we want, so we're thinking about ordering one. Does anyone happen to know what the wait times are right now for orders direct from Japan?

Ha! We wish we knew times. I pre-ordered in August & took delivery in December. Some people have ordered & taken delivery in as little as 6 weeks. It really depends on what options you want. There may be dealer stock of a base with what you want nearby where they could install options & get it to you quicker. Actual new orders I'd say to check with your dealer & call SOA to verify lead times.

When I went in for mine at the end of January, the dealer said there was a vehicle close to what I wanted coming 2/23, but it wasn't exactly right, and I'd be paying for options I didn't want, so we put in an order from Japan. He described the process like this:

- Subaru ships a bunch of cars with no options installed.
- Dealer places order for color combination/trim level.
- When Boat arrives at port, Color/Trim allocated to dealer, and options are installed at port (less expensive than at dealer).
- Optioned vehicle is placed on freighter to destination state.
- Vehicle arrives at dealer, and any final options are installed.

He says it partly depends on if the boat is still in Japan or on its way, and also if all the vehicles of that color/trim combo are already allocated. They quoted me 6-8 weeks, but I still haven't received my SOA confirmation email (but did get a call from the sales manager saying they have submitted the order.)

Sounds good. Guess we'll have to decide if we want to wait that long, or just hope dealers will be getting more in sometime soon. Maybe I can call some dealers and see if they have any SWP's coming in soon.

The dealer we went to was aweful, and I'll gladly take my business elsewhere.

Ordered a Sport Premium 5 spd in Marine Blue Pearl at $21,835
All the standard sport options plus:
all weather mats
cargo area seat back protectors
cargo tray (my dealer confirmed that it's still an option on the sport)
wheels locks
front plate bracket

Placed my order a couple weeks ago so I'm waiting at least a few more weeks. Dealer said they've been flying off the lot. I was lucky enough that they had a manual I could test drive.

Plenty of Suby dealers north of you. My friend just bought an 12 outback limited from south cost Subaru. Another got a good deal from Irvine Subaru.

Anyways, out here in Colorado a premium 5dr with cvt and the options you listed goes for $22300 + ttl.

$258/mo. with a $1600 first payment on a 36 mo./30k mile lease.

It is a 5-speed Sport Premium with all season mats, rear bumper appliqué, mesh grill, rear spoiler and maybe something else I didn't keep track of. I think I could've done better with the lease rates but I'll find a way to get my money's worth.
