OMGHi2U 2013 WRX STi - Does subaru restrict power during the break in period???

2013 WRX STi - Does Subaru restrict power electronically or otherwise during the break in period???

I have owned many Subaru WRXs & STis over the years. I am currently at 500 miles on a completely stock 2013 WRX STi. I have been going through the RPM ranges as recommended by Subaru. I do not know why but the car just does not have the "snap" during acceleration that my stock 2011 WRX has. Honestly, it feels slow like its being held back.

I exercised the STI a little to compare it to my stock 2011 WRX. On a measured strip of road where the stock 2011 WRX can reach 80mph, my STi is only reaching 68mph.

My boost gauge consistently holds about 15 psi 3rd through 6th gears. Could Subaru be restricting fuel during break in? Retarding timing?

I would like to put my accesport in but too low on the mileage yet.

Any ideas???
