Some kind of silver.

Default National US prices for a 2004 2.5 RS?

What have you folks paid for your 2004 Impreza 2.5 RS?

Local dealer has them in the twenties! Seems high to me.

I "built my own" on the Subaru site and it came to under 19 grand. *** is up with the dealers in my area?

Damn! You can't type "what the ______" (***) on this site!?!?

BAHAHAHAHA um, how pathetic is that? ARE people on this site 12 or something? Or is this "family values" to the extreme?

Go to Edmunds website to check the local "True Market Value".
And about the censor part, maybe most people are mature enough to convey their ideas and opinions without resorting to swearing?

When I was debating between a RS and a WRX I got them both priced out. For 2004 RS it came to about 18,000 give or take, and the REX was 22,000. Both of these were bone stock, no dealer installed garbage. Hope this is what your looking for. (BTW went with the REX!!!!!)

You shouldn't have to pay more than $100-200 over invoice on '05 models unless you're allergic to legwork. Leftover '04s should be substantially cheaper.

Thanks guys, I think that the local dealers jack the prices because we are in the snow belt here. I am thinking of heading to NJ when I am ready to buy.

Karl, I didn't swear I used I used a simple abreviation (_hat _he _uck) If you get what I mean.

It is a car board no? Chances are you are not going to get 12 year olds surfing it, they will go to the Brit Spears forums. Speaking like an adult on an adult car board should not be censored. It makes this car board look just plain silly.

Hey man, more power to ya, if you can get yourself into a new RS .. I got tagged with the going rate of 16,9 for my used car with 51k, (but they padded the trade in value of my old one, so it kinda worked out) but if i hadnt of rushed into things, I coulda probably got a new one like you, and not have to think about trading this car in 9-12mo ...

OMGHi2U Prices

Hi,

When I bought my stock automatic '04 RS back on March 31, I spent a little over $18,000 for my car. Subaru had the $750 cash back, and I knocked off the port fee, holdbacks, and a few other things. I think the salesman and managers seeing the wad of cash in my hand helped sweeten things. All in all, I spent less than invoice and love my car. Maybe you should consider buying in New England - when I was looking, I looked at dealers in New York and found their prices a little higher than here. It seemed like different areas had different pricing, even though I thought it should all be uniform or close to Subaru's website.

Hope I helped a little

Deb

I think Subaru has dropped the invoice price on the '05 RS. I was looking at '04 closeout too, but ended up with a '05 RS because I picked it up for $1k cheaper than a '04. Also, I think Subaru has a $500 rebate on the '05 RS until the end of September. Someone else already suggested Edmunds.com. Price them out there and you can also check into the incentives Subie has going right now. Good luck on your shopping.

Just talked to a buddy of mine in NJ. he read the auto section and found a 2005 stick 2.5 RS for high sixteens.

I am going to contact a dealer this week and see what I can do for a deal.
