I had a guy tell me that he thought it was cool to see kids, such as myself, modifying cars, even if they couldn't afford much of a car to start with. His jaw dropped when I told him that I had close to $60k in the car, and all I had left to do was build the cage to have a full fledged rally car (yes, that really is true). I also let him know that I was 30 freaking years old, I'm a stay at home dad, and my wife is a Doctor. I even have some gray hair! He was very friendly and I think he meant well, but it was still irritating.

Me: A Subaru.
Him: Wrx?
M: No, just an impreza.
-He looked kind of confused.-
H: What's done to it.
M: Mostly suspension bits.
H: Does it have a body kit...
M: Nah, it's stock
H: Its a pretty nice car.
M: Thanks!

So, I guess I will tell this story while it is fresh on my mind...

I live in a very rural part of Oregon, with great driving roads. The road I take to my favorite swimming hole, happens to be one of my favorite driving roads. However, when I take the dog to swim, I cant rip the corners as much as I would like. So on the lower straight away, I like to rip it up a bit...

Having torn this road to shreds for the last 12 years, I have become very comfortable out here. This time was slightly different... The concrete bridge at the beginning is perfect for 2nd/3rd sound resonance, but has a campground entrance 1/8 of a mile or so past it, so using caution isn't a bad idea. It has always been empty, until today... This time it was occupied by our local Federal Forest Service LEO, out of his truck taking a 10-100...

So the wastegate is barking through the bridge, I am about too hit my tickle spot and see him, dog face plants on the back of passenger seat... As I slow, I see him shaking off and looking over his shoulder pointing at me with his free hand.

I ease up to him, 90lb german shepherd hanging out the rear window, and stop... Conversation goes as follows.

LEO: Hey, what was that?

Me: What?

LEO: What's up with that...

Me: What?

LEO: That sounded like a jake brake, but you weren't braking...

Me: Officer... This is just a little subaru outback... No compression brakes here. You must have heard a logging truck coming down the hill.

LEO: (as he leans back and looks at the brembos like they're out of place) Ok... Well then... Take it easy...

Me: deadpan look. " no its a subaru"

Him: oh....well it looks like an acura

Me: ........

His coworker after seeing the look on my face: you will have to excuse him...we try to keep him away from customers and locked in his office..

Me: well that explains it

had someone ask me to smoke while driving them home. I said hell no or I will kick you out. He then asked if I could pull over and let him smoke and I said no because the fumes are still around you after smoking and i can still smell them. He then said yea you arnt that kind of person and proceeded to light a cigerette. I slammed the breaks pulled into a gas station and forced him out and left him there.

Here's the kicker: His girlfriend was in the back and agreed and said that he deserved it. She smokes too but she respects my rules and was even trying to tell him to not smoke but he is very disrespectful to her so he told her to shut up. That's another reason why he deserved it but hey you disrespect my rules to my car there will be consequences!

Would anyone else agree with what I did or was it extreme. We were 30 minutes away from his house.

I do the same exact thing but replace the word 'smoking' with the word 'food'. Ever since I got my new interior I've said no eating or smoking or whatever in my car... nothing.
So one time I'm hanging with my friend Zach and we go to Subway. He gets a meatball sub to go. Half way to his house he's shoving it down his throat in the passenger seat. I reached over, grabbed it, and proceeded to throw it 30 feet out of the window. NO eating in my car!

Should've hit the eject button while moving and stick it in his girl.

But really, I'd have done the same thing! had a sisters friend light up in my car, I asked for a puff, and tossed it out the window. Damn, she was pissed!

It takes a special kind of dirt bag to try and eat a saucy meatball sub in someone's car

I don't mind it if they have something that isn't messy/greasy and we're on a long drive, but when we're 5 minutes away from the house and you order a ****ing plate lunch and try to eat it while I'm driving is down right stupid. My brother tries to do it every time he gets a Hawaiian plate.

As an eight year old I would've put the cookies in my pocket for later or something.
