i have to agree heavily on that. If i had to do a 2.0L wrx again i would stick to TMIC and small turbo. Maybe 16g at largest.

only stage 2 - intake, full tbe.

yeah i wanna see how close the AP dyno is against the real 4 wheel dyno. If you have an AP version 2, you can give it a try but you'll need to update to the latest firmware.

Changed my setup to a lower horsepower setup today. This dyno shows results for this setup:

Crawford 2.5L S2 block
Cobb downpipe with Highflow Cat
Stock STI Catback
VF43
PE650 injectors
APS DR725
APS 70mm Intake
etc..etc..

Definately not as much top end as i used to have but I sure like how quiet (stock sounding) the car is, and the car is prepped up for aircare, which is in about a years time.

Thanks Pat and the rest of Rocket Rally.

I never thought it would happen, Wei goes down in power. Still a nice quick car that will spank most vehicles around town. Good on ya Wei, hope you don't get ants in your pants.

You guys are putting up some good numbers. As a heads up, we now have an All wheel drive dynapack in downtown Vancouver for those interested. Power ratings will be different then Patricks at Rocket, so if you are documenting your builds you should stick with the Dyno dynamics.

Welcome to NASIOC, but please be aware that you cannot post a link to your company website without being a Vendor here. You are more than welcome to post the company name, as I edited above.

Sorry guys, i edited my original post. Just to answer Loomin's question, i dont want to change the intention of this thread. We specialize in Porsche/Audi but do a lot of VW also. Raced a season last year in the Koni challenge with a 997 and gearing up for the Grand am 24 hours of Daytona this January.

The blitzkreig guys have rented our dyno many times for their project cars and are all good guys. They know the deal with respect to numbers etc. and how to keep things 'clean'.

I've tuned on the crawford, reigel, and several other dynapacks, and its the the only other dyno we were considering when we bought ours. If you put the soobs on a dynapack all you have to watch out for is the diffs - the plated ones (i.e. EMCD and R180 plated rear) tend to fight it a bit, but you can set it up easy enough so it not to be a problem, its only long sustained steady state that you have to make sure you dont overheat them. congrats guys !

I was able to do a compression test and plug swap last night. I wasn't worried, per se about my motor. But with my last STi blowing up, my confidence in Subaru was shaken. I've never blown a motor, so holding 15 pieces of piston has a way of hurting one's confidence.

Anyway, 28,800km, no burning oil, 18psi peak, 269whp on Pat's dyno. Mods are ported turbo and manifold, GMBCS, APS intake, turboback, UTEC + opensource. EGT's are a bit high under cruise conditions, close to 1420-1460 at heavy cruise. I never broke 1550 though, even at the track, or high speed highway runs.

My numbers were as follows.

1- 146
2- 146
3- 145
4- 144

The plugs looked okay for just shy of 30k. Maybe a bit hot, but the timing looks dead on and there were no signs of detonation.

Time for another round of mods and tuning.
+1 for patr making it all work together.

I might be wrong but I think he had the 'dumbass previous owner' mod.

steve, not sure if it was the same on yours, but there are lots of BONE STOCK stis around with broken #4s... thats why we wont touch them without a comp and leakdown ...
