Just saw it on an Audi board. Figured someone here would have the scoop.

I don't know much about it except that some rich dude that owns Motoring Unlimited bought the Weyerhauser property in Snoqualmie and plans to run a rally school from it. I asked him about it a couple times on Motoring Unlimited's Facespace site and never got a response.

Wow, there cars look like serious business - prepped by Vermont Sports Cars.

And is this the old Weyerhauser complex? The directions page on their website is a bit vague.

Yea, I'm surprized that they don't have their web site up and running with more info. They told me in May that they would be up and running in July. That car prepared my Vermont is a full blown rally car, I don't think it is the one people will be driving around their property.

But they say that we get to drive those cars!

Our cars are not just copies of rally cars, they are rally cars. Built as competition cars by Vermont Sports Cars, who build and run cars for Travis Pastrana and Dave Mirra in the Rally America series, the cars you drive at DirtFish will blow you away! Yes, you can experience the thrill of driving a 280-horsepower, all-wheel-drive Subaru rally car. In the dirt, on the gravel, in the mud, on the tarmac***8230; on the ragged edge. Fully equipped with Ohlins suspension, rally tires, and OMP safety equipment, you will feel the adrenaline rush of blasting through gravel and tarmac stages, with your instructor as your co-driver. Hang on for the drive of your life.

My understanding is that the property was not purchased but, is being rented. And that the school is only offered during the week to prevent the complaints that would come from the local home owners during the weekend.

Of course this was all second hand info so can't speak to the quality.

They are using "fully prepped wrx rally cars".

I've got a good friend who's an instructor with pro-formance and has been out there... i'll try to get more info for you guys.

My roommate works for them.

The old Weyerhauser land was bought by Dirtfish with this purpose in mind. Yes, those are the cars you will be driving. If you have more questions, email her, [email protected]

And if you're on facebook, you can get updates on their fan page (link)

FYI, the land isn't exactly available to "check out", they have a full time security guard. There won't be anything going on either, as most of the crew is at X-games.

Ah... well, it's exciting either way that they are putting the land to good use.

I send them an email regarding pricing and am looking forward to hearing how much it'll be.

Looks interesting, at the very least.
Those cars and that land could not have been cheap by any stretch of the imagination, not to mention all the insurance involved with an operation like that. I'd imagine they'd charge a lot. Even if it were fairly expensive, there's no doubt it would be a ton of fun...
Sounds like an extremely expensive outfit, now that I think about it a little more...

Exactly what I was thinking. Even though it would be awesome, I highly doubt it will be anywhere near what I am willing to spend. They have to make profit somewhere...

Have you had one on one talks with them? Have you taken a really close look at the car that they drive around for advertising? The cars that they you will not be like the car that they had built by Vermont Subaru, that car is a full fledged rally car. I have not seen the cars that they plan to use, but I'll drop by their shop next week and see if they have any of those cars done yet. By the way, they know me by sight and name.

It is not a school, it is just a chance to drive cars on a rally course.

What he saw was the car that they had built buy Vermont, I don't think that they have their regular cars there yet.

They have 8 cars at the moment (at the track, not at MU), all built by Vermont. 4 are currently street prepped, bolt-in cages, etc. The other 4 are actual fully set-up rally cars.
