Default Entire PCV hose system missing.. advice?

Ok, I've searched and MOST write-ups I've found dealing with oil catch cans are so old that the pictures no longer show, or have been removed. The others haven't really helped with my ordeal.

I recently bought a 2002 WRX that was, until 3 weeks prior to my purchasing it, completely stock. In those 3 weeks the owners son butchered a lot. After fixing the intake, exhaust, BOV, etc.. I'm stuck.

ALL the hoses dealing with the PCV system are missing, including the steel lines that bolt to the intercooler. A couple of good folks in another forum suggested I make my own catch-can setup, but couldn't provide pictures or a write up, or links to such... Could anyone here help me out? Pictures really help since this is my first car like this. I'm new to it but not to building/modifying engines entirely.

Thanks in advance.

You could just as easily replace the hoses.

The PCV system routes (2 hoses each) from the valve covers and one from the top of the motor between the inlet tube and intercooler to 1 hose going to the inlet. (If I remember right, I'm 99% sure I'm missing something here)

I'd be interested to see pictures of what is going on.

They have a ancillary hose kit to replace majority of Pcv and coolant lines for sale. And it comes with the directions to where they all go.

The cheapest one I've found is $100. I've already replaced the coolant and radiator hoses, and a couple others that were beginning to dry rot, so for my purposes that's too expensive. Unless you know where I can get a cheap one!

So a pcv hose is just for emissions, nothing else. As long as you don't have a vacuum leak, and are not spewing oil, you're fine. If you are, then fix it.

I'm guessing that's why the car was running just fine before my upgrades..

However since I just corrected some less-than-correct issues, and went full Stage 2, I'd rather have everything hooked up as close to spec/stock as possible.

I had the same problem with mine on the passenger side valve cover. I took the old on off an got 1/2" I think an had it long enough to wrap around the second coolant res. to the steel line it connects too. Ill try and get some pictures to show you.

The metal runs from left to right. 2 inputs on the passenger and 1 on the driver side. Driver side hose goes from the valve cover to the metal hose. Passenger side valve cover goes to the rear metal crossover input. Intake source goes from the intake to the front metal crossover input. The hose is connected internally and is essentially a y pipe

LOL, with that screen name, I would have guessed you would jump at the chance to spew some combustion blow by into the environment.

Here's another good diagram of the stock PCV system with part numbers and such. This site in general is a good place to check diagrams and part numbers.

So, you have a catch can, is it still routed back to the intake? If so, why do you do it that way?

Yeah the site is down for some reason I think...I'd expect it to be back in a day or two.

This is also what's confusing me.. My metal pipe is gone, and I can't see where it would've run to on the driver side. What I'd really like to do is buy about 25' of silicone hose and replace it ALL!
