Yeah, Use a med. compound and buffer will take it out. I have a seibon cf hood too. Some cracks and spots. Also Westmarine has products to remove oxidation from boats. Will def work on the hood too.

How old is the hood and looking at where you live it may be some sort of environmental cause creating the green spots.
You won't like it when your hood gets angry. |

Just paint them! I know the pretty pattern looks cool, but do you want the hood to hold up the longest it can or do you want it to go south decades before it's time? Besides it's a little too ricer to have a CF hood that's not anywhere near the color of the car. I know my OBS will have an unpainted CF hood for a little while, but that's cause I need to paint the whole car. Just my point of view

you need to clear it. seibon uses junk wannabe clearcoat when the turn out hoods. its more like a shiny acrlic laminant than a clearcoat.it has no u.v protection and will be subject to the elements. it needs to be sanded, cleaned and sprayed with 3 coats of clear, sanded down again and sprayed with a few more coats of clear. a decent paint shop should know this and can do it for you. carbon fiber is porous and continually sucks up material, hence the clearcoating, sanding and clearing again. ive done a ton of them. good clear will do you good.

once you prep it , clean it, and throw a few coats of clear on it, it will look ten times better than the day you got it.unless you are gonna do it yourself, your gonna need to bring it to a paint shop to revive it. or someone who knows what there doing.

All the cf looks green
I imagine the hood is old. It came with the car when I got it. The whole hood overall looks green. Even took it to a body shop to get it sanded down, and re-clear coated. Still looks green. Any suggestions?

if they sanded it down and it is still there, there is really no way to get rid of it.

Very helpful. I'm looking to install some CF myself. Is there any way to prevent it?

Epoxy isn't UV stable. Good epoxy (generally marine grade) has UV stabilizers in it, but will still yellow over time. A UV blocking and stable clear coat will prevent this.
