Am I the only one that makes no sense to??? What coast line is there to patrol? I guess that's our tax dollars at work.

Probably. What does a coastline have to do with it? It makes perfect sense to me, as there is quite a bit of navigatable waterway up there. There is USCG presence on the Red River, Missouri River, Mississippi river in the Dakota's, Minnesota and Wisconsin...along with US Army Corps of Engineers.

The middle coast... We have units in the Twin Cities, Quad cities and St Louis. All along the Mississippi, but our area of responsability covers the Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri, Iowa river and all the spaces inbetween.

I live in Thief River Falls, MN, but the closet civilization is Grand Forks, ND.

Just picked up my '09 WRX Premium yesterday. Just in time for the fun of the snow storm!

I lived in Bottineau for 2 years. You know that opening scene in the movie Fargo, well driving to Minot was just like that. You'd pass about 3 cars the whole hour long drive. NODAK was an experience dar eh.... Oh yeah do you need a beg for your grocery's Sir, Me "No I would like a sack". Cashier, "Ahh, what?" Me, "O.k. give me a baaag."

Born in Bottineau, moved to Minot and raised there. Then I got out of the state and attended college in New York. Now I'm moving to Minneapolis for my internship. Then hopefully my final stop and permanent place will be Texas. *Also best of luck to the Fargo Residents with the flood, I have 2 uncles that got evacuated*

North Dakota. Any rallycross or autocross events out there? Lots of open country for such events.
