I agree that you'll get your 11's this year. The 60 foot has some room for improvement with better track prep and tires, and the car will definitely be quicker on a cooler day. I'd say you did awesome considering the conditions.

What's the fastest stock turbo and engine time for the WRX in general, not just VF52?

What shift knob did you use?
Since WRX from 02-07 came with the TD04, I imagine you meant WRXs with VF-Series turbos, VF34/39/42/48, If that is the case this one:

xdrian/[email protected]/RacewayPark,NJ/02WRX/PortedVF34/Stock257/PPG/2660/93/meth

Mine trapped 121 mph with a VF39, I will be back soon with some better tires hopping for a much better ET

I'm happy your using the ks-tech 83mm maf as well. Im going to be doing a lot of tuning with that unit.

I recently came upon a video of a young gentleman knocking Innovative's preference on the intake. Even though I respect the man behind the camera, I felt the guy on camera was an idiot.

I feel that if your going to mod a car at all, do the 83mm and ID 1000s/2000's. If you know how to tune the setup, those mods never have to be changed (only modified for fittment with fmic). You can run those without problem on the stock turbo, through c16 on a 35r setup.

I've had 3 intakes, and three sets of injectors in my car.. Stupid. Do it once, do it right.

Good job guys!
Thanks man. Once I tuned the first car on the 83mm KS intake a year or two ago we started using them all the time. Replacing the intake over and over is just silly. Getting it when a customer first upgrades their intake saves them time and money because it gives them something they won't grow out of. Using the big intake also reduces intake restriction. Great part!

I meant any stock turbo WRX, but obviously the WRXs with the TD04L are heavily handicapped compared to the new WRXs.

11.64 is very impressive, but that's an STI turbo. I'm also guessing 2660 is the weight of the car which accounts for the awesome ET? I wish my GC was that light. LOL

11.6 was very impressive. I now have a few vf wrx's that trap 116 on pump gas. Juan went 121 on E85. When the weather gets cooler, I wouldnt be surprised to see a few 11.5-11.6 vf cars.

The hardest part isnt even the driving, its getting my guys out of the clutching hands of their wives to get to the track

Maybe I can just borrow the cars and set up a tent at the track till the job is done

I'd like to see an 11.4 in a lightened car and an 11.7 in a normal weight car. I think both will happen this year.

Yea mike it makes me wonder what would of happened if we left that extra degree of timing in there lol

I am not making excuses but its gonna be tough to hit mid 11s unless i run c16 or e85. Especially with my heavy azz car with 18" wheels. Meth allows me to be quick 24 hours a day tho....e85 aint for me i put 25k miles a year on my vehicle so running that all the time....c16 is 14$ gallon here locally so.....

I agree that a mid 11 would be REAL hard for a car that weighs what yours does on the stock tranny, engine, turbo, etc. I think any 11 second pass would be great for your car and I know you'll get it.

Yea i could do tgvd, cams, intake mani and run mid 11s but ill just stick with what i got. I have some 17s that are lighter than oem wheels but i dont wanna spend the money on rubber plus my trans is holding up and i wanna keep it that way

TGV deletes, intake manifold, and cams, will do nothing for your turbo, is just too small. Your setup is close to max out you might get a few whp from E85 or C16 but not much. Do that, or weight reduction. 18s are not much of a restriction either I run 12.0 at 120mph with 18x9.5 with my VF39.

I could hit prob 11.8 in good weather, you dont think i could pick up 2/10ths with cams, intake mani, tgvs? all i need is 15-20whp, it would be easy even with small turbo. How u trapping 120mph at 12.0 LOL

I don't think you will gain anything because I have tried and another guy has tried. My car make the same power with the stock engine, than with my current engine with fully ported heads, 3-angle job on the valves, higher compression and BC 272 cams. Another guy make the same power with his stock engine, than with a Cosworth long block . We both loose spool.

Check out my thread 12.0 with 1.89 60'

another car trapped 122mph but he already blew his engine

Tires and weight reduction as well as better track prep and a cooler day will give you the best improvement. I understand that you're using tires that don't grip well to try and save the transmission.

Thats a bummer man, If your doing cams and raising compression and not making more power, I say get a new machine shop and a new mechanic. But who knows everything has a positive and negative. I wont be doing cams, intake mani etc so...

P.s. How are you trapping that high and not running low 11s? My last car went 11.66 at 118mph. Doesnt add up to me

like I said on my post does are the results that I got with my car and another person got the same result with his car. In my case the turbo is the restriction, is just too small and cannot keep up with the demands of the engine.

My car had no traction at the line, if your look at my thread I had 1.89 60' all night long vs your 1.75 60'
From the rear of my car my tires look like this /--\ too much camber and I had my LC set at 6000rpm, next time out I will be out with a much better drag racing setup.

nice runs! gives me hope for my '10!! I also love having a track that doesn't look like a backyard in my backyard. MIR is about 15-20min from my house.

I ran 12.2 with a full interior mild tune on 93oct last year. I am completly gutted tuned on E85 awaiting my new PAR straightcuts from andrewtech. Hope to run mid 11.5-11.3 with ideal conditions.

You can see pics of my car here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/jeremey.schaffer

Just make sure you get HD video, expertly shot from seven different cameras, exactly 27 witnesses, and pictures of your car (on the moon).

You know, just the normal proof.
