What of coilovers are you trying to sell. And what condition are they in.

Stock Impreza springs and struts are pretty much worthless. They're the weakest dampers paired with the softest springs.

You don't have to do inserts anymore. Koni makes full replacements now.

You can try selling them. I doubt anyone is going to want them.
Might be better off keeping them for winter/sale. |

I live in san diego so.. winter doesn't really exist. I think I'll just keep them in case the coilovers ever blow

Hey all so thinking of things to keep the car running strong, stock performance numbers and fuel economy up. Just hitting 224k this week and figured its almost time to do spark plugs again, anyone done new fuel injectors on these cars? Any DIYs, pricing?
Figured after this mileage on original injectors, might be a good place to start getting back some stock power and help fuel mileage. Note: I'm not looking for performance, I just know a 9yr old car with this many miles just isn't putting out the same stock power anymore like when it was brand new, just my winter commuter car. |

I haven't done fuel injectors but I feel like that might help the rough starts I get every now and than. Did new plugs/wires/gaskets about 3k miles ago. Car is still running strong. |

40k miles on it, burns zero oil, and pulls very strong for what it is. It's a beast on the highway up to about 120mph. Gearing is pretty good for highway. I mean you have to know how to drive, and you have to work for it.. but still. |

I meant it pulls good up to 120. LOL. Not sure how fast it would go. I thought they were electronically limited to 124 or something.
BTW I don't "abuse" it, but I beat the **** outta my engine after it's warmed up all the time. I think it likes it. Italian tune up every day. |

As far as I know yes you will pass if it passes smog unless it is insanely loud. Actually I don't think inspection even deals with how loud a car is at all. As long as there are no holes in system you're good- last time I checked laws anyways.
As far as cops harassing you? NYS laws are crazy. Last time I read the laws a few years ago, there is no decibel limit or anything like that. Basically if you have a loud muffler in NYS and a cop pulls you over and it is not a "stock" muffler, they can give you a ticket, like a "fix it ticket". It doesn't matter that a Ferrari with a loud stock muffler is louder, doesn't matter that a Harley or crotch rocket has pipes that will wake the dead and damage your hearing. If your muffler on you passenger car is not "stock" they can ticket you legally if cop thinks it is too loud. Also I read rules about no valves or other openings with valves in muffler or pipes. So all those types of mufflers are totally illegal in NY. Also it cannot be a straight through muffler design. All those are totally illegal in NY. That's just what I remember and when I decided to not even get a slightly louder exhaust system, because you'll just get harassed by local PD. It is the same with window tint on a passenger car in NYS. Nothing over stock is legal at all even on rear windows even though on an "SUV" they can have limo tint from factory on rear glass. Total BS laws. Not even film that lets through 90% is allowed because the factory tint is already at the legal maximum. That's the same reason I don't have any tint. Don't want to deal with local PD harassment. I had laser eye surgery and could get that waiver for tint but I'd still get harassed so figure not worth it. |
