Default can you find out what a "Restricted" phone number is?

You know when you receive a call and "Restricted" comes up on your caller ID? Is there anyway to find out what that number is?

The reason I ask is, I have this wine place that keeps calling me and i'd like to block their number. they keep trying to sell me wine. i buy occasionally, but i'd rather not even have the temptation. i've told them to not call, but a different rep will call a few weeks later.

If you tell them not to call, it's illegal for them to call you again.

Are you on the do not call list? If so, record the conversation, ask to speak to the manager, then inform them that the call will cost them up to $11,000. If you are not on the DNC...get on the DNC.

There's some loophole about whether or not you've done business with the entity recently.

32. My number is on the National Do Not Call Registry. After I bought something from a company, a telemarketer representing that organization called me. Is this a violation?

No. By purchasing something from the company, you established a business relationship with the company. As a result, even if you put your number on the National Do Not Call Registry, that company may call you for up to 18 months after your last purchase or delivery from it, or your last payment to it, unless you ask the company not to call again. In that case, the company must honor your request not to call. If they subsequently call you again, they may be subject to a fine of up to $11,000.
Oh Snap.
