Lightbulb Editing a tune made in accesstuner

This is a question that's probably been asked a lot, and I have no real experience in this particular field so please forgive me if this is obvious to everyone else, but does anyone know if it's possible to edit or modify a tune that was made in accesstuner through an opensource program? For example, if I get tuned like I plan to in October by my tuner, who uses accesstuner, but don't want to reinstall my EGR system, can I hook up a tactrix cable and boot up an opensource program to modify the tune and remove the check engine codes myself since they aren't able to anymore?

I'm assuming this is not going to be possible because flashing with opensource would overwrite the cobb map entirely, so your tune would be gone. Also there is probably a risk of bricking the ECU trying to do this.

No, U could copy it though if you could see it, or u could devine the tune with datalogs. Or just have him tune it opensource.

That doesn't sound very worth it. Thanks for the information!

I'll ask him if he's able to do that. Here's hoping right?

are you saying copy the tune over to opensource? that is certainly and option but will probably be expensive, at that point the tuner would just recommend retuning it on opensource all over again probably

Some forum members here might have accesstuner on hand and maybe you could email them your file to have the CEL codes disabled.

Just a thought.

That's a great idea! I'll ask around to see if anyone has a legacy version of accesstuner
