Default 2002 outback p0420/ MIL converter fix

i have a 2002 outback with a inefficient converter and i ordered that MIL catlytic converter fix, to get rid of the CEL.. anyone put one of these on a 2002 outback or similar? i got it in the mail and it says its for a wrx or rs? can i still use it? thanks
