Basic Beginner Coilover questions
Ok I just got some megan racing coilovers and i have a few questions i have searched and have had no luck so i had to start a new thread
1. Do i have to get an allignment after everytime i change the height? i want to install them now on stock wheels but i will be putting 18's on very soon which woud be bigger so i want to make the drop fit around the 18's not the stock wheels that way i have clearance. 2. How hard is it to spin the entire shock body to lower the car i tried w/ the coilover held down by my brother and i couldn't move it. also should the camber plates line up side to side or front to back? like should be be like l l or _- (if looking from the front, and i know thats a bad illustration but just bear w/ it haha)

1> yes your alignment will change every time you adjust ride height ( camber and toe)
2> i have megan coilovers on my car and its very easy to adjust the height 3> The camber plates should line up side to side so you can move the struts towards/away from intercooler |

ok cool thanks when u adjust your height do you just leave the coilover bolted in and just loosen the lower collar and basically spin the entire shock body?

Yes, loosen the lower perch and spin the whole shock body to raise or lower car.

haha sorry for leaving everything so vague but yea i got a 2002 wrx w/ 215/50-16's on now i think i am just going to wait till i get the wheels b/c i should be getting them very soon but if not and the height diffrence is .2" than i might just install the coilover prior to getting my new wheels.
