![]() some plastic s respond well to a light polish, but be warned, some don t and it will dull it out. A test spot is best in an unseen area. Or remove the piece and if it doesn't t work you can pre shop the replacement part to see what the cost is and if it s worth the risk.
Start out very light if you try it. |

![]() If you wipe it with a wet rag and the scratches disappear then you can buff it out. Remove the trim and have at it.

![]() Curious about how this turns out. Have similar fine scratches on my shifter surround from previous owner that I’d love to get rid of.

![]() You could try an all in one polish, put a little on a microfiber and buff. May not take them out but will lighten them.

![]() I usually use a product called EZ felt purchased at Michael's Arts and Crafts to rub the scratches away. It's basically hard felt.
It works well on my WRX' center console plastic (aka garbage material Subaru used). |

![]() How about on piano black / glossy black surfaces? I accidentally scratched the HVAC control trim on my 19 wrx.

![]() I've seen small polishing pads to go on the ends of cordless drills and with a small bit of polish/compound I'm sure it'll make it much easier than doing it by hand.

![]() On my 19 WRX where the center console scratches with the smallest impact, I use hard felt dry and rub it gently against the textured plastic. It's called EZ felt and can be bought at most art supply stores.
This works like a polish, less coarse than magic eraser. If this is on painted surface, as others mentioned, I would remove the trim and wrap it. |

![]() Same suggestion for the inevitable scuff marks on the bottom of the doors? EZ Felt?
I've put vinyl stickers on the bottom of the back doors (2018 WRX) - which is very hard to see so not a big deal, but not sure I want to do that on the fronts. |

![]() This is normal wear and tear. No real way to repair this. Best bet is to replace or wrap with vinyl.
