![]() If you take the car apart and prep it I'm sure it will end up being a lot cheaper. If you have the time you can try vinyl wrapping it black. I just did my car and costed me about $400

![]() You get what you pay for. Maaco, while being a household name for cheap paint, also does higher end/ high cost jobs as well. Changing your car from one color to another is not going to be the same price as getting a quick respray from them for $500. For $2500 I would expect they be hitting all door jams, pulling all removable panels, engine bay perhaps, etc. Sometimes you can save money with them by doing the prep work yourself, but do not take on that job unless you actually know what you are doing.

![]() In my personal experience, stay away from Maaco. The chain provides service that is a hit and miss across the nation and you have a good chance of being left with something undesirable to the paint job.

![]() I've heard the Maaco paint is decent when you do all the prep work yourself or have it done by someone else who can prep it perfectly.

![]() Maaco doesn't have a good reputation. If I was repainting a car I definitely wouldn't choose them. Have you considered a wrap? That way you can change color without affecting the resale value of your car with a non factory paint job.

![]() I only go to maaco when i need to sell a car. A cheap maaco paint job can bring back a car's color. Its fast, cheap, and makes a good impression on the buyer. But if you want quality job, i recommend going to smaller private paint shops. They will do a better job.
