I tried:

There was a problem

You cannot add a player you dropped until the waiver period ends. (Error #245)

Why couldnt I be in a league where someone drops Peyton Manning.....

I had to make sure you werent in my league, actually logged onto Yahoo FF and checked the free agents.

Ok guys, should I drop Reggie Bush and pick up either Pierre Thomas or Willis McGahee?

Whats the outlook like for Matt Cassel? He's my backup QB.

I took a different approach to this league this time. My draft strategy was two-fold (especially with drafting last): Get as many star players on productive offenses, before concentrating on filling positions; even if that meant holding out on RBs. I somehow managed to get 3 of the top 5 WRs in the NFL and with all the flex positions in our league, I think it will work out well.

I'm ok with my two starting RBs. Blount is only improving as a pass receiver and Fred Jackson is a solid 10 pt performer every week and that might even go up now that CJ Spiller is the dedicated 3rd down guy.

The RB slot is a ****ing mess this year. Half of the top 10 RBs are either drama queens, fighting injury, or last year's performance was a fluke. MJD and Foster aren't 100%, C Johnson's hold out might finally end today but he won't be in prime condition, McFadden won't repeat, etc. My top 3 RBs this year, in order, would be #1 Peterson, a very close second Charles, and Rice at third- There are no surprises with these guys. The rest of the RB field seems equally tiered as to where you are going to get similar performances out of the largest part of the pack.

If I was in your position for week 1:

1) Benson- Cincy's pass offense needs to be sorted out and it will come over time. Meanwhile, Benson will be a big producer just by the amount of touches he is going to have. I don't know if you heard but he got 20 days in the clink for his misdemeanors. The sentence starts in mid-October on the Monday of the Bengals bye-week. I'd go with him over Dangelo even with lop-sided run matchup of Arizona. Williams is still sharing the work load.

2) Plaxico- Guy looks like he's back to play. You've got him on your roster on two teams which can be somewhat problematic. Start him week 1 in one of the leagues at least. I think I'd actually sit Dez Bryant and play Buress. Dallas' defense still looks like poop.

3) Hightower- Remember how Hamsterstyle got so mad last year when I dumped MJD for hightower and someone else I can't remember? Hightower put up a higher avg of points for the 1st 10 wks last year and he will do much much better in WAS. I like him over Tomlinson and Barber for sure.

Pfft... All the guys go on waivers. Guess who has #1 waiver priority?

Jordan: I wouldn't drop Bush. I know that a lot of people are down on him but he's been lobbying all offseason for a larger roll with the Saints. When they wouldn't do it, off he went to the Phins. I'd hold him for now and see if he goes into one of those epic EFF YOU BEAST MODE stretches that players do. Plus, who else do they have? The dude is going to get touches. Mas touches = mas betterer.

Cassel sucks, KC sucks.

Also, if you're in a private league and accidentally drop someone, contact the commish ASAP and hope he's kind. He can add a player back onto your roster.

Its me and 3 other guys I'm friends with. We pretty much have no idea what we're doing. I'm afraid if I tell him, he's going to laugh at me and take PM himself.

Thanks for the advice! I actually do like Benson for week 1 (and did hear about his sentence). But I was thinking of putting him in for Addai instead of DeAngelo. I know the Panthers are a RBBC team, but won't they run a TON with Newton at QB? I mean, same logic as Benson, run it with the stud instead of throwing it with the rookie. Problem is, opponents for both teams know this, and will be stacking the box. Tidbit: I got a steal on Benson.

As for Plaxico, I got him for very cheap in both leagues. He could be great, he could be a bust. I thought it was worth the risk. But have you seen Bryant play this pre-season? He didn't get much action, but the action he did get he looked good. I'll look at the matchups and possibly take your advice, though, if the matchups are favorable.

As for Hightower, he is going to be decent. Shanahan is crazy with his multi-back system, but Hightower has looked excellent in the pre-season and Shanahan will use him a lot. I hope Torain doesn't steal goal line carries though (and its possible Helu will steal 3rd down touches too).

This is the first time i've been in a fantasy football league, and I did something incredibly stupid. I saw that Peyton Manning had neck surgery in the off season, and that he got switched to the active list, but that it might be a while before he plays a game.

I intended to Bench him for a while, but instead I ****ING DROPPED HIM!!!!

Can I not ****ing read???? FML.

When does the waiver period end? I need to try to get him back before someone else does.
Who thought of the Arian Foster trade commercial on ESPN when they read this?

Pray nobody is looking at the FA's yet since the season hasn't started (kinda like myself) and pick him back up immediately. Or see if your friend is nice and will put him back on your team.

I'm one of the odd balls that has managed to watch every single pre-season game this year- I'm two big money leagues and trying to stay ahead of the curve. I like Bryant but he will always be way behind in targets as long as Miles is around. Burress on the other hand has kinda stepped up and challenged Holmes for the top spot. He's new and hasn't even played the entire preseason but I see much more depth in him.

Yeah I don't know what to make of it. Hightower could put up TONS of points just from red zone carries. I don't know how the running share will work out, but Shanahan won't give Torain the ball on the goal line- he can't hold on to it.

Judge my team build in a mock: 16 team league, $200 auction:

QB: Matt Ryan
RB: Beanie Wells - overpaid :/
RB: Jon Stewart - paid less than Wells
RB/WR: Vincent Jackson
WR: Larry Fitzgerald
WR: Jeremy Maclin
TE: Jimmy Graham - Someone else had my idea and drove him way up, paid too much
D/ST: Patriots - Again driven up on me
BE: Austin Collie
BE: Micheal Bush
BE: Matt hasselback
BE: Nate Washington
BE: Todd Heap
BE: Marion Barber - I had no idea who else to pick.

I was going for a WR heavy team. Not terribly concerned about RB but really would have felt better with hightower than Bush.

My first time doing fantasty as well for the OT league. I had technical difficulties (autodrafted with default yahoo rankings through first 11 rounds) but I think my team is ok.

I know I could have some better RB's, but all things considering, it will be a fun learning experience.

I guess Ill hold onto him, thanks for the advice.

As for Cassel, Im stuck with him as a backup. I dont see anyone more valuable in the free agent pool.

Youy did great at WR, that's for sure. QB is solid but RB is lacking. Atleast both RB's are starters.

I'm guessing that Fitzpatrick is likely available.

Granted there are only 4 people in my league, but I think Auto-draft was rather kind to me.

In all my years of fantasy anything, I have never seen such a ridiculous fantasy set up

4 people? Talk about a crap shoot when it comes to who wins. As far as the team, obviously stacked, but I would put Benson in over Choice. Jones will get most of the carries in Dallas, Benson should see a lot of work while Dalton figures out how to be a QB in Cinci.

Nope, guessing someone is hoarding QB's in my league. Best available is David Garrard. After that its Cam Newton and Jason Campbell. So yeah, no where to go.

Hopefully Benson's jail time won't make things horrible for me, we'll see how this plays out.

He's got The Law Firm for when Benson gets locked up. For the entire month of September Benson is the better play.

For your situation I would consider Benson over Grant. I'm no expert so don't listen to me without doing some research, but I would probably start that way.
