ej20g injector question
Getting my car tuned soon, and wanting to get some new injectors. What is a good direct upgrade for this? Is there a stock fuel rail that is an upgrade for the ej20g? Ive got greytops in now, which from what i hear are stock.
Thanks, Jet

I wouldn't worry too much about the fuel rails. If you want to upgrade injectors, I believe 300ZX ones are the same so there are plenty of aftermarket options around.

dont mess with finding a set of injectors that may fit...
buy a set of phase 2 adapter collars, and then any USDM STI sidefeed injector will fit right in to your rails... i have these ones and they are awesome... http://www.fecker.co.uk/scooby/product.php?id=2 -=Subedave=- www.suberdave.com |

while we're talkin about injectors, i have a spare set of Tomei 555cc's out of a SR20, are those a drop in replacement (EG20K).

Okay i have thought for quite sometime that the gray tops are 440s as well but the more I talk to people about them the more I get confused. I know my car come stock with the TD05 and have been told that with the TD05 comes 440s, but lots of people argue with me about it. Does anyone have proof/data that the phase 1 WRX's come with 440s? Rob? I just keep hearing different opinions.

If my memory is right, the WRX injectors are the JECS side feed and the part #'s are on them - I think they might be 0R05
http://www.witchhunter.com/injectordata1.php4 Just remember that flow rate is subjective to fuel pressure and if you're planning on leaning on your motor, send them out and get them flowed if you're not upgrading. Last edited by rockcrete; 03-24-2009 at 07:04 PM. |

actually, yes. 2jz injectors will work as long as you use a resistor pack.

What bar pressure are the gray's rated at 370? Everything I've ever read says they're 440's. I haven't sent my spare set to be flow tested because well, honestly I don't really care, but I'd like to see your data.

agggg misinformation
greys 440 cc at 3 bar yellow 480 cc at 3 bar all the other test you see are at 3 bar example: blue usdm wrx top feed 440cc at 3 bar this is from results at RC engineering those bad numbers (370,390,440) are a 2.5 bar (which is used in au/nz) but have no idea why sr20 injectors will not drop in they are phase 2 and need the rail adapter |

Ok, I may be way off on this one, but since the EJ20G FPR is set somewhere around 2 bar, doesn't that mean that the Gray tops will not even break the 370cc mark in use on a stock motor.
I may be assuming something incorrectly. |
