No...What you NEED is to clean that engine bay on the WRX.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume this is not safe. Finally went to throw my new STi wheels on with 15mm adapter spacers, the stock studs are meant to protrude into the pockets in the back of the wheel, but mine appear to be too long. Does anyone have experience grinding down studs? |

You can cut off like 1/4inch from the end of the studs using a cutoff wheel on a die grinder. Nothing sketchy about it really.
If you goto the Parts Reviews section of the forums and read the ISC Wheel Adapters review that's what the OP does. |

That was my first thought but I'm afraid I'd mess up the thread.

looking that pic over again it looks like your adapter bolts dont even sit completly flush within the adapter? even if you did shave your studs, would the bolts fit in the wheel "pockets"?

Yes, the pockets are plenty big enough, just not deep enough for the further protruding stud. And now after mounting my stock wheels again, I noticed the pockets in those are enormous! Stupid STis...

Those wheels look good on there! Of course, would be a lot better with spacers

Installed the 850cc injectors, moved it to the end of the driveway to get picked up and towed away for the tune =).
