Default Going to ATL for Le Mans, where the Subie people at?

I am coming to your great city for Wes-Saturday. Will be at the track most of the time. If you want to hang with fellow Subie owner at the track call my cell at 713-443-6470, my name is Ezra Horsley. Also wondering where the fun is in Atlanta on thur-fri night. Call me if there is a meet or you know of some good roads to play on. Will have 13 year old brother so can't have all the fun Atlanta has to offer.

Oh, and where is all the good food in Atlanta at, last year all I could find was fast food.

Also, is any one doing the Mazda car show with their car?

I'll be there Friday and Saturday all day. I was going to be working crew for World Challenge GT car, but the owner had a minor engine setback last week and won't be able to make it.

So, I'll be wearing something Subaru-colored both days and will most likely hang out on the infield side of 10A-B and the spectator hill at the end of the Esses.

I'm there for sure. I'll be out there on Friday with my son to catch all the support races, then again on Saturday for the big boys.

I usually do the infield side of 10A/10B or sometimes the turn 2-3 complex, or sometimes the 6-7 area. Hell, I'm pretty much all over the place.

Steve/Ross -- should I bring some extra burgers/brats/beer or are you guys going to take care of yourselves? Let me know and I'll get some extras if you want.

Who else will be there Friday? Anyone...?

I'll be there all four days. I'll be wandering all over but will most often be found at turn 1 (my fathers favorite). Sadly, I have no subie gear other than the car itself, but I'll keep an eye out for the rest of you.

shoracer, I don't know the area around the track very well but if you're headed into the city I can recommend some places.

The Vortex - great burger joint, corner of Peachtree St. and 7th
Ru San's - sushi, on Piedmont just west of Peachtree St.
Buckhead - standard Atlanta bar scene, Peachtree between Piedmont and Pharr road give or take
Fogo de Chao - swanky place (usually need reservations and it's not cheap), all you can eat Brazillian steak house. If you're headed here you may want to skip eating the 2 or 3 days previous.

Scott, burgers and brats would be awesome. I'll chip in a few bucks to help out, as long as you don't mind.

Not a problem at all. I'll buy some extra Newcastle and Guinness, too.

Also, if anyone does not have their ticket yet, take advantage of this! Cheap tix = goodness and I can confirm that they don't ask for a membership number or anything else in order to give you the discount.

BREAKING NEWS!

BMW TEAM PTG RETURNS TO ALMS AT PETIT LeMANS

In an exciting last-minute development, BMW Team PTG has announced that they will return to the American LeMans Series at this month's Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta! The M3 is to be piloted by Hans Stuck, Bill Auberlen, and Boris Said, carrying the Advan and Yokohama sponsor colors. After an absence of almost 2 years, BMW Team PTG will again mount an attack on the Porsche dominance in the GT class!

The Peachtree Chapter invites you to Petit LeMans on Saturday October 18 to see BMW's return to premier sportscar racing, and rain on the Porsche parade! As a special incentive to attend, all Chapter members will get a $20 discount off the purchase of a weekend Superticket! Tickets must be purchased by Tuesday October 14 by calling the Road Atlanta ticket office at (800) 849-7223 or (770) 967-6143. Tell them you are with the BMW Club, and you will receive the discount!

For those members attending the Speedvision races on Friday, Road Atlanta is offering at no cost use of special timing and scoring software for use with a Gameboy player. "iCard" provides LIVE updates to the racing action, and uses your children's Gameboy hardware! This technology is currently in use by every major racing body in the US, and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the action! Just stop by the Road Atlanta ticket office or any official ALMS site at Road Atlanta with your BMW CCA membership card and Gameboy to pick up the software.

See you at the races!

burgers and brats sound great...I'll bring something....most likely shade...

The mrs is coming, and about 10 other people I know (not scooby people) they'll be bringing their own food.

not sure where we'll sit, but 10A-B sounds like a good home base.

I gotta get a tent.

Eeesh -- that's pretty hard to do bro. I'll give it my best shot though. A space that big would normally require a couple of cars blocking off a given area but I'll see if I can make it work.

Gates always open at 7 AM. Friday will be busy but not *insane* like Saturday will. If you show up past 9 AM on Saturday you WILL NOT get a parking spot in the infield, guaranteed.

Come find us -- I'll be on the infield side of 10A/10B. Dirty blue WRX with silver Subzeros. And beer in hand, most likely.

On a side note: is it wrong to crack your first beer at 7:15 AM? I figure the only exceptions to the 5 o'clock rule are for races and camping. What do you guys think?
