Tate was tagging her pretty good before it went to the ground iirc....if she can keep the fight off the mat, she might just bust her up good for the entire fight.

She's just that charming.

Ronda's BTS are always cringeworthy. My personal favourite was the one where someone dared to go past her car on the freeway and she lost her ****.

I remember it looking awkward on the feet for a brief period of time, but I don't remember Meisha tagging her at all. Meisha's stand up is horrible.

Behind The Scenes

and Ronda ate a punch or two of no significance before getting the clinch on Tate. I remember thinking Rousey's boxing looked weaker, but it didn't matter for long in that match, and she's had tons of time to train between then and now.

Yeah, I was super psyched for her when poison first mentioned her... her attitude has turned me

Been a while since I saw the fight, I guess it's coz I was rooting for Tate and not Rousey WWE. So I was happy to see her take a few shots before she took Tate down and bent that elbow the wrong way.

It's ok... I like to pretend Mirko never got KTFO'd by Gonzaga.

That's not going to happen.

Best we can hope for is that Rousey learned from Zingano how effective knees to the face are. Otherwise, stand up is just going to turn into a clinch, takedown, and armbar on the ground.

I didn't get to see the fight live, I was at a soccer game at the time. Watching it now, especially in slow mo, it just looks like Silva wasn't interested in the fight at all. He could've thrown knees in the clinch and yet he didn't, he seemed more concerned that Weidman wasn't trying hard enough than he was with winning. There is no doubt in my mind that if Silva comes into this match focused, he's going to absolutely destroy Weidman.

Also of note is the ending - Silva was pretty content with being done(like we saw in his demeanor during the fight), but Dana kept pushing for the rematch. Silva just didn't want to be there - much like GSP.

I can understand why GSP wants out. He takes damage every fight and dealt with a major knee injury. Plus all the celebrity pressure and just the hard work of elite level training.

Silva though? He's never been beaten ugly win or lose, Sonnen was the last person to even make him earn the paycheck. I wonder if he's in the Tyson/Ovrereem phase of his career, the "unbeatable guy defeats himself by ignoring opponent and partying hard" thing.
Maybe he's really just flat out bored with MMA.

Overeem doesn't deserve to be mentioned as elite. He never was. His K1 path was a joke. He was handed the K1GP and his MMA history was trash until he magically put on 100lbs of lean muscle in 18 months.

Sorry... I have illogical hatred of Overeem.

I can never quite decide if Rousey is hot or not. It's like that gorgeous girl who makes a goofy face once in awhile and ruins the moment.
Tate is pretty but man i hate her personality.
These are important opinions of course.

I'm excited to see the fights as well.

Lol, she could do better, but in person she's cool (or was). She's doing the publicity thing, and it's working, though she needs to take Sonnen lessons if she wants to Sonnen. It's hilarious when he does it, not so much when anyone else does.

And some of it is the confidence of being an elite athlete. Not elite as in 'UFC belt holder' child's play, but elite as in 'one of the top 10-20 in the world'. I keep saying the whole Olympic/World competitor/champion thing is completely different, completely unlike even the best of what the UFC can offer. Physically, physiologically, mentally, sheer experience and number of hours in training AND competition, it's a different stratosphere.

Doesn't mean she can't get caught, but.... I can't decide which would be interesting to see: Ronda outstrike, or simply GnP Tate into oblivion, ignoring the myriad armbar opportunities, or straight to the armbar like a boss.

i wonder what the odds are on the Rousey/Tate fight.
It might be worth it to blow $100 betting on Tate, which would probably turn into $texas if she won.

Rousey -660
Tate +540

Betting $100 on tate = $540 payout
Rousey = $15.00

I give her a huge pass because I freaking love her, she's only this way with Tate, and she obviously loves the **** out of her fans. Hard to deny who she is outside of the cage. She definitely needs work on her persona based marketing.

I still think the world of her. She's definitely the reason why WMMA is in the UFC, and I still shake my head and laugh my ass off when people say that Cyborg would crush her. Even at 165, RR would destroy Cyborg's arm within a round or two.

Cyborg's ground game is dog ****.

You're better off betting on someone to dethrone JBJ or Weidman... RR losing to Tate is what I found in the dictionary under impossible.

edit - needs moar:

I'm crossing my fingers for Wiedman, but for the second time, I fear for his life. If Silva just keeps out of reach, and spends the whole time prancing backward, then wins by decision (see the Maia fight for reference), I'm going to be pissed.
