Default My 2008 black wrx

I own a 2008 WRX hatchback and I have done some exterior mods to made it stand out but I want it to stand out even more. I don't want people to think that my WRX is just another Wrx with an upgraded exhaust. So far I have put some stickers on, got new rims and tires, got yellow fog lights, got a light bar, and the last thing I got was headlights with purple HID bulbs. I plan to get black or smoked taillight overlays. I live in Wisconsin and this car is my daily driver and I drive it in the winter so I do not really want lower it. On top of that it is a Subaru and plan to maybe do some camping. Any ideas of what I should get next to enhance the appearance of my car?

Just leave it alone and keep it clean, tire shine, etc. Trying to stand out on a minimal budget usually makes the car look cheap IMO..poor quality tints, blacking out headlights/tail lights...coloring the wheels just to name a few bad ideas.

Just keep her clean and save your money.

I'll tell you some of the things to not do if you want to "stand out."

Do not put roof rack on. Every subie has roof racks.

Do not paint your wheels black, bronze, or aluminum color, every subie has them.

Do not put on mud flaps.

Go wingless and get rid of that wrx wing.

Get a specialized license plate and proudly display it instead of doing license plate deletes and license plate relocation.

Do not debadge and keep all your emblems and badges on the car stock.

There are alot more, but these are just some of the cheaper customizations that you can do to simply "stand out." It doesn't always mean better, but you will definitely be "different." And as you already figured out, "modding" the car to look different simply just mean "leave the car alone as is." Its harder to spot a stock oem subie now than a modify one.....
