oil gallery plug adapter size?
im installing my autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge in the rear factory location with the adapter from the suby dealer,
my question is what size fitting fits this thing? The compression fitting that came with the gauge install kit doesn't fit and i don't think im gonna try and force it in some. Any help will be appreciated. sim

here in albuquerque we have a few specialty hose and fitting stores. I bet you have something like that. Call around at some specialty hose shops and maybe some specialty bolt shops.

It is
a 1/8 BSPT or British Standard Pipe Thread.
NPT is different -27threads per inch BSPt =28 threads per inch. Here are your choices: 1. get an adapter. ATM-2269 from Summitt Racing or equivalent. Cost $11. 2 Thread in your fitting with alot of thread sealer on it and hope for the best. Don't over tighten it if this is your choice. It will cross thread. Also never take it back out, it will be ruined. Be prepared to deal with that CCV tee and the hoses connected to it either way you go.... |
