![]() Precision Tuning- great work today had them install my Perrin DP and Grimmspeed heatshield on my 08. Plus before the DP was put in they suggested to weld in a bung for if I ever go back for a pro-tune. This I thought was pretty cool cause say if I didnt do it now, I would have basically had to pay for a DP install all over again since they would have had to take it out and re-install.
Great prices and very cool guys. Thanks again-Jim |

![]() Picked up an 06 Sti with 53k on the ticker, bought it with a COBB tbe and intake. Just a few days ago I took it to Precision Tuning and had the guys over there check everything out to make sure everything was in proper working order and to have it tuned, and let me just say the guys there are ridiculous. They did an incredible job tuning the car and really taking care of it. It was there for about six hours while I waited and they just did an amazing job with it. I'm going to post the numbers in the proven power thread with a pic of the dyne and what not, but if anyone needs a push over the fence with a tuner I would recommend them 100%.
Thanks again Precision! |

![]() Had pads and rotors done by Broken Motorsports recently. As always, Billy did a great job and was very thorough, plus it is awesome to get the inside scoop on what's new in rally. Definitely recommend checking them out.

![]() I have been meaning to write a review on Akuma Motorsports since last week but I have been busy. Sti Mikey has been my tuner since my motor was built around December of 2010. I had some issues with a brand name turbo and decided to upgrade to a DOM 4xtr. I called up Mikey which let me know he now works for Akuma Motorsports. I was booked for the following week on Thursday. I get to the shop and meet everyone there including John (The owner). John explained to me how the process at Akuma works before tuning. He let me know my car will be checked over and once the green light is given, we will be on to the dyno. Prior to my build i have been to a couple of shops to get tuned and never was my car checked over for anything. I would show up and within 20 minutes my car would be strapped to the dyno. Hearing that my car would be checked over before the dyno let me know I have come to the right spot.
Onto the mess of checking the car. lol John did a leak test and found my return line for the bov was leaking on the inlet side. I decided i wanted to vent to air so the return line was removed and the inlet port capped. I have a synapse bov which i zip tie since it has blown off before. Removing the return line now creates another issue. I don't have my anti stall kit from synapse with me and now the car doesn't idle correctly. Without hesitation John says to me. I'll take care of this for you and brings over his own HKS bov and installs it in place of my synapse. After Mikey gets the car idling good John notices I could use some coolant since i was a little low. After the green light is given off to the dyno!! John and Mikey walk over to me and let me know that they will both be working on my tune since Mikey just started at Akuma. Its very nice seeing your car on the dyno and knowing you have 2 mad scientist tuning your car. Only thing i wasn't ready for was the results lol. The mustang dyno reads low at Akuma. They were able to get 336 hp and 311 tq. Dam heart breaker dyno lol All in all my experience at Akuma Motorsports was the best I have had to date. They all made me feel welcome and by their attention to detail they put my mind at ease. With this tune i still had the stock up pipe and headers. I mentioned that i was giving meth some thought. John explained everything about meth including what different kits offer and also showed me a aquamist kit he had in the shop. needless to say i was sold after speaking to him. John went above what any owner has done for me before and Mikey being my go to guy for tuning makes for a good combination. The car is a animal!! Once the boost hits its like a hammer. Car is very fun to drive. Mod list: -rallipsec block... cosworth pistons, manley rods, balanced crank -11mm oil pump -stock heads, headers and up pipe -invidia v2 bellmouth catless to a srs catback -dom 4xtr -deatschwerks 1000cc injectors -walbaro 255 fuel pump -ap 3 inch hard inlet (don't ever buy this. fitment sucks) -hsk race filter -p&l signature series intake -hallman pro manual boost controller -godspeed fmic with upgraded bigger core -act sb4-hdg6 6 puck clutch -gates timing belt future upgrades: -Aquamist HFS-2 meth kit -up pipe with external wastegate on a 38mm tial -headers http://www.youtube.com/ImportRace#p/a/u/3/fv1YLLeXlak dont mind the sideways comment i was nervous to be on camera but i do put the car sideway. those videos soon... Seconded. I have trusted AZP with every car I've owned in the past 8 years. They even worked on my Acura when I had a momentary lapse of sanity. I even bring my fiancee's Subaru to them now. |

![]() Just got my alignment done at Akuma Motorsports with John, Adam, and Andrei. Work was top notch as usual. This rounded out my trip for my Cobb AP, and my alignment. If you need an alignment no matter what your circumstances this is the place to go!
Espo Ps. Great vid from the guys over at Fueled Mag shot at the BBQ this summer. |

![]() I just got my ACT XDSS Clutch and various bushings installed at AZP for my 11 STI Sedan. These guys keep you updated on any issues they come accross your car. I originaly went there to get my Mode shorty shifter adjusted and check why my car wont go into reverse. Though the reverse problem turned out to be an internal tramsmission problem, Mike was able to point me to the right direction and dealer to get the transmission fix.
The clutch feels great . The guys did a good job with all the above installs. I wil be back for my RCE GTWORX CUP suspension install. Thanks Lee Last edited by Rem1993; 12-16-2011 at 01:49 PM. |
