The "major" up-north resorts open this weekend.
Alpine Valley in Highland opened Monday, I'm heading there Sunday

Who else is pumped!!!

I'm pumped for ski season. I don't know what "snowboard" season is.

I drive there from chicago (about 5 hours) for the weekends. Leave friday night and get back sunday night. I think their cabins were $100 a night and sleep 4. That place is raw as hell

I've been to chestnut last winter like 5 times, great place. Wilmont doesn't compare...

In Dec, the ticket costs as much as the day's date. Dec 1st: $1, 2nd: $2 and so on till the 15th: $15

its going on from the 1st to the 15th.
whatever the date is ,is the price of the lift ticket.
i think we're going saturday, staying saturday night and riding again sunday.

usually takes us 6 hours with stops in my friend's minivan (it's slightly more then 400 miles from O'Hare)
should be closer to 5 hours in my new FXT

If you buy the season pass for $99, it's only $25 extra for a season pass to the Porky Pine Mtns. resort. Helluva deal!
