Kaos at E'town auto X !!
Was down at the auto X with Weasel 555 and OBSS - -
Weasel and I ran in SM I took out my passanger seat - b/c I was getting ready to drag race later Seems that taking out seat is not kosher with gods of auto X - - I aksed the main man there BEFORE the event started IF I should change to DP or what and he said its OK to stay in SM Anyway = = I bolted at the end to go to the drag racing - my buddy stayed to pick up my little window sticker for my 4th place showing . . . . Somehow - he GOT the sticker - a 2nd place sticker - BUT someone protested my seat removal and I was disqualified and deleted from existance . . . . .. my buddy was new to auto X so did not really knopw what was going on - any suby guys / girl there know what really happend after i left????

Whoopass!
Al- Someone in SM protested you. I have never seen a protest at a local event. The rules are cut and dry so you were DQ'ed. SM states that your car must have seats. I forget whether it is 4 or 2 seats. There really is no confusion, because at you ran you were illegal. The sad thing is that your seat would not have changed you time that much. I think you were still slower than me
Talk about whoopass! |

AWM III - - - so what if you beat my time . .. . . I think you were running Kuhmo slicks - was that you??? I got 215 size S-03 rain tires - - IF I got some auto X tires I think you may be in trouble - - -
Anyway you can have the Whoopass on the auto X - - my car is set up for drag - - but I think its cool that I can at least hang in there with you guys - big turbo and all and then lay down some real smack on the drag strip !!! My the way - I think my buddy G may have beat you or came close with street tires !! |

Yes the rules are cut and dry, you are DQed if you don't have all the stock seats in SM. Ie: If you have 4 seast stock, you must have 4 seats also in SM. They should have bumped you to another class after you asked, and if you stuck around, you could have fought your case, but if you leave, you lose the opportunity to fight your case claiming they said you could run in SM. Unfortunately that is how things go in auto-x, you need to be present to fight/get your prizes.
Anyway, I'll be at the rest of the NNJ auto-xes for the rest of the year running G-Stock, and the only ones @ the last auto-x that beat me were a WRX with slicks, so watch out G-stock -mike |

I already got the seats back in so next time it will be street mod legal I thought it was very nice of the NJ guys to give my friend the sticker anyway - - they run a great auto X and they told us that all i-clubbers get $5.00 off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

at least you guys aren't going for points in NNJ. I was going for points in STS, but since i burned up my Yokos @ an M-club event @ giant's stadium, and switched over to R-compounds, I have to drop back to G-Stock, w/o enough event's left to make a dent in the g-stock guys.... Oh well there is always h-stock for me next year.

Wow there certainly were some nice subaru's at the autocross. I just wish I had gotten there earlier so I could have raced. Hey andy did you ever get back from McDonalds on time? I pointed to the first U-turn about a quarter mile from MD's but I guess you didn't see me. After I flew out of the toll on theGSP I slowed and some guy pulled up along side of me asking me if I imported the supercharged/turbocharged Rally car from Japan? I did explain to him what it was eventually, well I guess I impressed him when I tore out of the toll. He was driving a 70's vette. I said goodbye and then proceeded to downshift into third and wave a friendly goodbye.

Al-
I don't think you understand how well I drove. That was some of the best driving I have ever done. If you look at the PAXed results, you will see that I was 15th out of like 128 drivers. The next WRX was 25th. I beat people who are headed to Nationals at this very moment, on corrected time. I may have only gotten 4th place in GS, but gs ruled the top of PAX. I have never driven that well before and may not ever do it again. I never beat Kelly Nelson on real time let alone the PAX time that I owe him. Go and get some r-tires and come to the 2 day event at Nazereth speedway next weekend. I'll give it a go. It's only maybe an hour from NYC. Take a look at the PAX factor for SM and figure out how much time you owe me on a 40-50 second course. Its about 2.5 seconds. Are tires going to get that for you? David Chung drove very well and deserves a lot of credit for placing so well on street tires. |
